How does one add LL mods to an existing load order(410) ?

Despite the age of the game/series, I'm still really unfamiliar & afraid of tending to load orders and adding mods due to it always resulting in game launch failures.
Because of my own incompetence, I stick to premade guides over on the nexus forums to install/merge patches etc.

Here's what I currently have running, as flawlessly as skyrim allows.

Now, here's where I'm stuck.
How does one "sort" mods by their individual file, rather than the entire list? Because mass sorting with LOOT leaves the order FUBAR'd and I always end up restoring backups.
Is everyone else installing individual files, dragging and dropping blindly into the vague list "structure" until the game actually boots?

I've been attempting to install SOS for almost two hours. Any help is appreciated.

The only reasons a game won't load after adding mods is missing master files (most likely) or reaching the animation cap (unlikely and would be detected by FNIS 7.5).  LOOT finds missing masters just fine.

If you don't like the way LOOT does its job, you can create metadata for it to sort things the way you like.  If you don't want to take that step, then you can at least use LOOT to find issues with the load order (warnings and such), and then not sort it.

You may not like the way a load order *looks* after LOOT, but in most cases, the game works fine, or LOOT tells you there is an issue.
