  1. 1. Should I get rid of the Lab of Agnon OR Amber/Madness Dog ideas?

    • No, Keep both if you can.
    • Get rid of the Lab of Agnon, it sounds like too much of a hastle to implement and it's redundant anyway.
    • Get rid of the Amber/Madness golem dogs. They sound too close to the Lab of Agnon

Seeing as trying to recruit in my Release thread is not going well, I thought I'd make a separate thread for it.

Current Personnel Needed

Currently I need people who have expertise in the following areas:

  • Modeling/Texturing: A few minor things for new SI dogs (See below).
  • Quest scripting and Creation: This is the big one. Currently there are a lot of ideas for quests suggested to me and unfortunately I lack the scripting skills to implement any of them, so I am in desperate need of someone who has expertise in that area.

Oh btw a little note:

even if I get rid of the Lab Of Agnon itself, there will still be a dog in its place. It just won't be the Lab of Agnon and won't work the same way.

This will replace the Lab of Agnon if it gets replaced (which it probably will.

Well, had I not taken on a new employment contract, flying back and forth between States, I had intended on taking on some of the quest building, scripting ideas.

Sadly I cannot. Wireless is deplorable to work with on the road and my hours leave me not wanting to even turn on a PC after 8 to 10 hours of work.

Some suggestions as you look/wait for volunteers:

Start story boarding quests now, while you wait for a quest 'developer' or two to step forward.

Review and post Chase's desired/suggested 'constraints' on quest structure and post it here. That of course could be 'factored' into the above. Story boarding will also begin to identify design possibilities and impossibilities. It's nice to dream up stuff, wasted effort if the game engine, OBSE cannot support it.

I would, as you outline your quests through story boarding, run polls and reach a consensus on which to develop first, or even do that before story boarding. You may also want to find a couple of experienced testers, if and when you do get a quest developed. Not your average Joe Member, but someone with enough experience with Lovers and Oblivion and setting up a test instance of it. Make no assumptions and explicitly spell out what needs to be done and how best to report back on it.

Very interesting ideas , I will keep following this thread.

Good luck !

Lover's Bitch is one of the best plugins ;)

BTW I would have helped devotedly , but my modding skills aspire to zero.

Some time soon I plan on taking on it seriously and start making my own. If by then I'll be good enough I will surely jump in.

Well for the moment the next quest will be the SI shop, since me and Fejenna have both done so much work on that it'd be just plain silly to not finish what we started in that department (the shop is done, the kennels are done, the location is chosen and done... there's some work to be done but by this point it would not be smart to simply abandon it and move on to another quest)

But after that, I'll be sure to do that.

Totally agree and I was not suggesting you abandon the SI stuff, in fact I'd love to see that fully developed as it would add much needed IMO quest content to SI and give me a reason to go there.

I put the actual quest stages in for the SI quest (but not the conditions or scripts for it obviously), if that sort of counts as storyboarding (in the Test ESP which I upload to my dropbox daily.) and I plan on doing the same for the rest of these quests too.

That works. :)
