swishkebabs Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 For the past couple of days, I have been trying to port Kristina - Standalone Follower (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78144) to SE, and I stumbled upon a few problems while porting. Her face isn't looking right, but everything else seems fine https://imgur.com/a/TLMuxvh. Here was my process: 1. I downloaded the mod and converted the esp to form 44 2. I unpacked the BSA and used NIF Optimizer to optimize the body meshes, and the hair meshes (using head parts only for the hair) 3. This is when I get stuck on, I optimized the facegen nif with head parts checked, and when I got into the game, the face looks like what it is now. After what happened, I used the original LE facegen nif, but the problem still persists. I tried doing some research, but the only thing I learned was that when porting mods to SE, some followers' head meshes could be broken. Is this what happened or did I do something wrong in the process?
Gromilla Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 1. Unpack the BSA, optimize all meshes except the facegen file using NIF Optimizer - the default setting NO "head part" check. 2. Check the "head parts" box and optimize the facegen file. 3. check the texture for adequacy, delete tga files (if any). 4. Archive all files and install using any mod manager. Files do not delete !! 5. Resave in the Creation Kit. 6. Replace the facegen files in the appropriate folders (data\meshes\.... and data\textures\.....) from the optimized files! 7. Play. Just in case, a ready-made archive for CBBE: Kristina CBBE.zip
