Older CPU & Newer GPU compatibility

I was wondering whether I should get a new CPU along with a GTX 1060, but I already have what I might call a median-level processor. I have an i5-4430.

Will bottlenecking occur?

i don't know the bottle necking mathematics, but why a 1060? the 1660Ti costs the same* and is faster.

*at least it does in Canada anyways.

 

edit: also a cpu upgrade is limited by what your motherboard can support, so look at it's website and also check what bios version your using.

at the worst the best you can do may be a gen4 i7.
