CTD on ready Unarmed

Got a weird CTD that just showed up. It happens when my character or any NPC tries to ready themselves when unarmed. If they have a weapon equipped, there are no issues. It occurs for sneaking, not sneaking, and 1st and 3rd person.

 

If I'm in 3rd person, I can see the animations happening, so it's not an issue with those missing.

 

I don't have any hand-to-hand mods, and I don't think I have anything that would apply a script when using hand-to-hand.

 

 

As far as I can remember, the only mod I added/updated since the game was working was FuroTrapGenerator 6.5.

It is pretty hard to even begin to guess without seeing what you have installed.

 

Also, are you certain that this crash started happening after FuroTrap was installed? What happens when you disable it? Finally, did you try starting a new game and see if that helps?

Fresh save and disabling FuroTrapGenerator does nothing. I can't think of any other changes I made.

Try a new game and not a fresh save. Sometimes fresh saves are just not enough.

 

If that doesn't work try disabling ZAZHorseRidesYou.esp and see if that helps.

Meant a new game when I said Fresh Save. Horse mod also did nothing.

 

Do you think it could be animation or skeleton related? I think I might have installed Growlf's skeleton (replacing the old Universal skeleton). Also have NoMaam's animations installed, but those have been there for awhile.

You might try reinstalling both growlf's skelly and NoMaaM in case something you installed recently accidentally overwrote them.

Reverted back to Coronerra's Skeleton and the CTD goes away. Time to figure out why Growlf's doesn't work...

That really is almighty strange as growlf's universal skeleton (the controllable version) was built from Coronerra's.

Given the symptoms, I'm thinking it has something to do with the weapon bone. Of course, it's an extremely loose assumption.
