Firely Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 So, i cant decide with side to join, so i need to know something to make choice. 1. Will the Vampire or Dawnguard force me to kill innocent people? 2. Can i as Vampire take the control of the Castle and all other Vampire? thanks in advance
Ark of Truth Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 1. Vampire yes, Dawnguard sometimes 2. No Just save before choosing and do both like everyone else does.
the_mess Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Dawnguard all the way! The vampires are portrayed like cannibals and their castle is like giant slaughterhouse..

aEuonym Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 To my experience 1) No* and No* * because while the quests, to the best of my recollection dont directly call for killing random numbers of innocent people, theres always the potential for things to do that. Vampire side, if you want to power up the vampire lord form, has a lot of potential for random innocent slaying. Dawnguard do not really have that problem, but since theres random vampire attacks on town until you finish the story, still potential for innocents to die, just not by your hand. 2) No, even if you do the vampire side of things, you do not get control of Castle Volkihar, beyond the option to open a closed door the courtyard. But on the flipside, even if you side with the dawnguard, you dont get anything special in Fort Dawnguard other then to be able to go there and use the beds/facilities.
Valgo Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Dawnguard! They have minimalistic and kewl looking armor, they have more interesting characters and they hate vampires. Since I hate these arrogant undeads as well --> Dawnguard!

You say that like it's a bad thing ... I think it is. I thought the vampires are drinking blood to live but eating normal food to live, they are not cooking people in metal pots or on a stick like they are doing in the Dawnguard DLC

Have to check again when I go home. I have seen the cattle on the tables, but they were alive when I looked...
polluxval Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 it depends. - if you like being a vampire, try some mods and join the vampire covenant. (without mods vampires suks) - if you prefer to be a vampire hunter, get some mods and join the danwguard (works fine even without mods) in my first gameplay i joined the dawnguard, I couldnt stand the Underworld 2 wanna be voice from lord Harkon when he morphed to vampire lord.

Really? A cannibals.. Thought the same. If I wanted to be a goddamn cannibal I would've called Namira and not join a bunch of ancient vampires from which you'd expect atleast a bit of dignity.
