Can't seem to install lovers pk properly

Ok, I finaly got a working install of oblivion + MBP++, now, I install lovers resource and lovers with PK and I get crash on load.

 

Actually I tried it with just lovers resource pack and it crashed before hitting main menu.

 

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and same result, wrye doesn't report any missing masters, but if I uninstall them my game loads fine.

 

I have latest OBSE and pluggy and obge.

Did you install the Resource Pack v2

Yes, I have both of those made into omod, thankfully or they would be a pain to uninstall, also it seems the unofficial oblivion patch causes my game to crash too, if I uninstall it, loads fine, going to try the omod version of it instead of the installer.

Hmm...sounds like alot of problem...

 

I would recomend reinstalling everything.

 

Install Oblivion, then the DLCs, then the unofficial Patchs(All of them)

UOP > Shivering Isle+DlC > UOP Supplement, Also try cleaing the DLC in tes4edits too.

Try and see if the game will run, Then the race, and other mods.

 

And finally Xlovers.

You just described what I have done a few times now, and every time when I installed MBP my game would crash on load/new game, this time I forgot to install UOP and the MBP installation went clean and smooth, but as soon as I install UOP game crashes on load/new game.

 

Ok, I just cleaned my oblivion install of everything but official dlc. I installed UOP main, works, install UOP SI, works, install UOP DLC, works, install UOP supplemental, now crashes on new game.

 

I'm starting to think maybe I should give up on oblivion all together.

Two words: "Bashed Patch!!!!" Not trying to be at all snarky here but Oblivion is wonky as hell with any of the dlc or mods added in. MBP changes/adds so blasted much that you are just asking for CTD's if you don't use Wrye Bash.

 

Trust me it is worth learning to use this incredible tool!!! I have 260 mods running on my current game and I am not afraid to add more.

 

Creating a bashed patch is not terribly difficult and there are several video and pdf tutorials at the nexus to walk you though how to make one. Just remember NOT to include any xlovers esm\esp's in the bashed patch.

Well, anymore I can't even get the whole set of UOP to install without catastrophic results, though I wouldn't be surprised if the UOP supplementals has serious issues as the author.... well, I read the entire comment thread for UOP supplementals and it didn't fill me with great confidence.

I have no problem installing UOP and supplmentals, and it made my game more stable.

I have no idea on what is your problem.

I don't have any of the UOP and supplmentals but I do have a bashed patch.......

sorry don't mean to beat a drum on this but it really will help!!!

 

When I learned how to use Wrye tutorials did not exist, so I can understand and sympathize with people being unwilling to tackle Wrye but with the aids that are out there now it is quite simple and will make a VAST improvement in your gaming experience.
