Can anyone help me?

i'm having a bit of a problem with Sims 4.  Every time i open the cheats menu to enter a cheat, as soon as i enter it, it doesn't go back to the game. Instead it stays like this:and i have to alt-tab out and open the task manager to close the game.

 

i thought it might be my mods, so the first thing i did was pull them out, and went back to the game.  when i open the cheats menu and hit esc, the cheats menu closed.

But as soon as i re-added the mods, it would not close. (before you ask, yes i did pull out all my script mods and the mods the they work with.) if anyone can help me, thanks for your help.

@lordkillbane Do you have the re-shade mod by any chance, as its the only one I could see that may cause this. If the mods are the issue you may need to do a 50/50 to find the problem mod.

Update! It just turns out i had too many mods that might have be out of date, so i just removed them all and started a new with the mods.
