STREET_BLAZER Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 I've been attempting to add UUNP special textures to 'tempered skins' (female version): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8505?tab=posts but due to the fact that the author saved it in BC7 format (except for specular textures which are apparently in BC4), I've been having trouble properly compressing the textures to work properly. I already have the necessary software on hand to view, edit, and compress said files, however after multiple attempts at doing so, the skin textures are not appearing as they should in game (first I was met with all black skin on female NPC's, then after trying a new compression format the skin no longer appears black but does not reflect light properly + noticeable hand seams). Not sure what I'm doing wrong here but I can't seem to get a clean conversion no matter what. At the very least the alpha channels are fucked. Yes, I could always change it DXT1 or something else, but I'd lose out on some of the quality that way. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated
Fotogen Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Save with no compression. Uncompressed. Test it. If uncompressed work, try with BC5. Don't forget to generate mipmaps.
