New Adoption Options

So let me start this topic off by saying that the idea that I have would probably take so much code changing and behind the scenes work that it would never happen but here goes nothing.  Something that I've always been annoyed with is the current adoption/co-parenting setting and options that we have in the Sims 4.  For example, in the real world, there are times when a two adults get married and one of them already has children from a previous marriage/relationship.  That individual's spouse now becomes the children's step-parent because of the marriage and there are times when the step-mother/step-father decide to legally adopt said children.  It would be great if we could have the option for step-parents to adopt their step-children in the Sims 4.  I see it as showing up in the family tree with all 3 parents showing up as related to the child, two parents show up as biological parents and one as adoptive.

Another instance of parenting that we see quite a lot is when two people who are unmarried have sex and unintentionally get pregnant.  Sometimes the mother does not want the child and wants to have an abortion (which we already have the option for thanks to Wicked Whims and MCCC) but the father does not.  In these cases, sometimes they come to an agreement that the mother will carry the baby to full term and then the father will be fully responsible for raising the kid after birth.  This is not really an "adoption" situation but it fits along with the rest of my post.  In the current setup of the Sims 4, sim children can only be transferred between families once they have reached toddler age.  What I would like to see happen is when the father decides that he doesn't want the mother to terminate the pregnancy, she would carry the baby to full term, and then travel to the father's home lot to have the baby and then leave with the baby now part of the father's family.
