Mod Idea - Vampires in the Commonwealth.

Recommended Posts

At present, the vampire options for fallout 4 are  "not there"  in the same way they are for skyrim (for very understandable reasons).

This idea, Introduces Vampirism- not as some mystical thing, but as a mutation.  mutated creatures are what make fallout, fallout.  here is how it might work:

Vampirism is a mutation.  Not sure how you contract it, but  "radiation, fev, geck, whatever"

It neednt do much in terms of powers or abilities per-se but, the way you feed:

see : The Strain Clip - Youtube  or ESO vampire feeding, or tentacles from skyrim mods

Positive Effects of feeding to you:

Similar perhaps to night person /day person.

  satiates hunger.

Negative effects:

if you dont feed, you suffer a charisma penalty perhaps?

Effects on target of feeding:

   death

   fear

   paralysis

Valid feeding targets:

   Humans, alive and recently dead.

Perhaps most anything that isnt an insect (like bloodbugs)

Hostile:

Not hostile if hidden. but causes others to run in fear from "something scary happened but we dont know what"

Crafting

Perhaps be able to harvest blood- if for some reason you wanted to take a more "im a vampire but dont really want to show it, human love" approach..

Sharing the mutation

Perhaps, a small percentage of tentacle attack victims are reborn?
Perhaps there is a way you could make a syringe, that delivered a persistent effect... so you inside corvega assembly for example, and shoot a raider with the syringe...  immediate effect is anguish in pain, collapse, reborn  and then frenzy... but the attacks are tentacles...
