Ark of Truth Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Try using Wrye Bash's mod checker to see that your not missing anything. If you are not missing anything try removing your saves from the saves folder.
Veta Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 CTD on start up happens to me when I dont have required plugins for specific mods or when two mods conflict with each . ( your problem could be rapes with joburg or adult play plus).
gregathit Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Try putting LoversVoiceSSPplus.esp right under LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp  Next pleas pick ONE male nude body replacer. Right now you have two: MaleBodyReplacerV4.esp MaleBodyReplacerV5.esp <--this is the latest version, use it.  If doing the above doesn't get you to start then try disabling this and see if that helps: Beautiful PeopleV22 - MaleReplacerV4.esp
seyal Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 i realized that after posting, i have disabled male body replacer v4, i'm thinking now that the mods are actually ok at the moment, the problem is with the game itself, i deactivated everything except Oblivion mail file, and tried to run, still CTD on start up, maybe something happened during the install as it was originally on my laptop and i downloaded it to another computer through my steam account, and something went amiss i dunno, but looks like another 8 hour party
gregathit Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Just have steam re-verify your files. It does not take as long and will restore all files vanilla files.
seyal Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 I did that, and it still CTDs on start up, wtf... i'm at a loss  ok i think i found the problem, the game keep trying to load my saves through steam, the content its loading is on a different computer, if i delete the saves it just reloads them, but this is the only thing i can think of that might make the game crash
gregathit Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Turn off your steam cloud sync. That will stop the save reloads.
seyal Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 nothing, turned off steam cloud, erased the saves, uninstalled - re installed, nothing, all that is in the steam apps folder is the base files for oblivion from steam i have no idea why it wont start
gregathit Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Find the folder where your saved games were at and you should also find an oblivion.ini file (and some others). Delete all of them. Then try to start the game (it should auto generate replacements).
