zod976 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I know the taller they are the faster they move but I am wondering if I use player.setscale 0.93 to get my High Elf's height down to base 1.00 will cause any problems? The console says the scale is 0.93 (base 1.00) though I am not sure if her height is really 1.00.
shedidwhat Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 If I remember right all Nords are 1.00 so you could try standing next to one
DeltaD36 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I thought a scale of 1.0 was the default for all races and was actually dependant on the races size? I have a Wood Elf PC and a High Elf Companion, clicked on me and the companion while in console, typed in 'getscale' and got 1.00 for both. :/ I don't think it will cause a problem as long as you don't set them as freakishly huge. I 'setscale' on my character and companions all the time and never had an issue. My current Wood Elf is as tall as a Nord. xD
shedidwhat Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 well I guess I remembered wrong... check this page for race stats http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Races

A race with say a height of .8 is at default of 1 once in game. So this means any time you would then type player.setscale 1, it will put you back to .8, since that is your default. If you wanted a race that was .8 to be the same as a race that IS 1.0 as default, you would have to type player.setscale 1.2, to add the .2 your trying to get. Hope this made sense. Peace, ~Shay
