Sluts of the Galaxy [SoG] v0.3.0

Just a personal mod for portraits that i'm working on, as i don't really like the art style of the standalone mods that are out right now.

  • It shouldn't conflict with any mod.
  • I will be updating when i have some free time.

Currently there is 1 species with 3 sub classes:

  • Slut (1) - 40 Portraits - Has all the portraits
  • Slut (2) - 30 Portraits - Only portraits that don't look chopped
  • Slut (3) - 25 Portraits - Hand picked portraits, also using them to test stuff

***Sorry for the unoriginal names***

PLANS

  • Add tons of portraits
  • Redo most of the portraits so they look more centered (Working of final details)
  • Group them in different species depending of the style/look
  • Assign certain portraits to specific jobs/roles, again depending of the style/look of the image

CHANGELOGS

       v0.3.0

  • Added 12 new portraits
  • Redid every portrait so they look more centered, some still need some tweaking
  • Replaced 2 portraits with new ones
  • Added 1 more species class with 25 portraits

       v0.2.3

  • FIXED - Pops didn't consume food/consumer goods  (All the species and sub classes now use Vanilla biological upkeep)

       v0.2.2

  • Remove 1 image (didn't fit at all)
  • Added 1 more image
  • Made changes to the "code" to make my life easier as it was a mess
  • Added 1 more species subclass for testing purposes (It only has 1 portrait)

       v0.2.1

  • Tweaked some images (very minor changes)
  • New screenshots with vanilla UI

       v0.2

  • 15 new portraits
  • One more species subclass with no chopped off images

What's the name of the artist of your mod thumbnail?

This mod doesn't seem to appear in the 2.4 launcher. Can you please update?

Edit: I found a workaround for this. I just had to use the "create mod" option in the launcher to create an empty mod titled "SoG". Then i just copied the files from this mod (minus the .mod file) into the folder, and it works normally.

I'm having the same problem, except the workaround isn't working.

Not sure what else to say, this is a tried and true way to reuse old mods.

Did you make sure to fill out all the sections in the "create mod" option (including the "version number" by just putting in random numbers)? Also don't copy the original "SoG" folder, just the "common" and "gfx" folders. There should be a descriptor.mod file in there already.

And maybe removing the original SoG mod will help.

Yeah, sorry, I tried all those. When I hit "create mod," it gives me a warning about there already being a mod of than name in the \mods folder, even if I deleted it. It still creates a new mod folder (the \mods\SoG one), but when I paste the common and gfx folders into it, it still doesn't appear. I tried both with and without copying the other mod file (the one that goes directly in the \mods folder), but no luck.

Well I'm not sure what to tell you then, sounds like your launcher may be screwed up :/

At this point the only thing I can recommend is to verify your game's integrity via steam. That or maybe try using the launcher in online mode (I noticed sometimes it has to be online to refresh mods you recently installed)

Are you sure you are operating on the correct folder? Have you tried naming the mod differently and copy the stuff over? The name of the mod/folder isn't important for its functionality.
