I put together a small gallery to see what I see...

I seriously can't figure out what I'm doing wrong because it looks fine in Nifscope... I've also tried changing the BSshadertexture to /textures/horsefuta/horsefuta_d.dds

but, what ever I do, it won't work.

any help would be awesome, thanks again.

Change the paths to:

textures/horsefuta/horsefuta.dds

textures/horsefuta/horsefuta_d.dds

You can't have a forward slash in front of the textures folder.

Also check what format you are using to export from gimp with (try to use DTX5.

I did your suggestion, and all it did was turn the mesh purple ingame :/ blah, such a bummer

Ok, purple typically means that the game can't find the actual texture file. Did you check that the texture is actually at that location (try moving them there if it is not).

Also what format is the texture in, did you change it and if so what did you change it from?

Well, it has color but it's just one solid color like brown. I have set up the texture (correctly I believe) and I have seen it work in Nifskope. When I extract it from GIMP i extract it as a btx 5 file or something.
