---nikoli Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Summerwear - Lighter weight male vanilla clothing and armor View File Summerwear - Lighter male clothing and armor. There are many female armor and clothing replacers, not so with the males... When I was playing a modded Skyrim that changed the winter weather to spring or summer it looked a bit odd that the females were wearing lighter clothing, exposing a bit more skin but the males were still bundled up for winter. These meshes use a slightly altered SOS compatible version of the SAM male body and altered vanilla armor and clothing meshes. Though I've run all these meshes through Blender, NifSkope, and Caliente's Outfit studio there may be issues when placed in your game. Backup your existing files before replacing them with these. The uploaded clothing textures are mostly altered versions of Gamwich's Rustic clothing, (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69784) probably the best clothing re-texture mod out. The uploaded armor textures are mostly altered from aMidianBorn and Outlandish, two highly competent texture artists. You may do what you wish with the meshes but the textures I have no rights to... Harry Smackmeat Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 There's a green Tunic with no pants. Now you can be Link. ? Or you can wear one of the kilts sit on a bench and manspread and show it all off.
Pickle_Juice Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Hey i have a question, does this clothing set has a non-replacer version?
pskaax Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 This looks like a great mod! I agree that a stand-alone version would be welcome.
---nikoli Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 Feel free to use and make whatever you like with the meshes...

This looks like a very promising mod, and I'd love to have it in my game as a standalone set. I have a hypothesis on how to make a replacer armor standalone, and I imagine it can't be that hard. I'm sure I can figure it out. But, there's one thing I can't figure out is an issue with the clothes themselves. Meshes are outside my modding knowledge. . . do you have any suggestions on the matter? I've included a few screenshots to show what I mean. Some of the clothes looked great, whiles others just sort of look stretched and chopped-up. You do mention a "slightly-altered" SAM male body. Does this mean that these clothes are intended for the SAM body, or are they compatible with a vanilla (SOS-enabled) male body?
---nikoli Posted June 28, 2019 Author Posted June 28, 2019 The SAM body is SOS compatible but has a more natural look to male torso and a better vert integration of the hip/thigh (less seam-line) with slightly altered textures, I'm not sure how the SAM body would look with other textures. I'm not actually playing Skyrim right now, but from the looks of the images, the meshes may need to to be cleaned up with Nifskope. Right click on the NiTriShape, scroll down to 'mesh', in the next box scroll down to 'make skin partition' left click on it, new box should open up, it's settings should be '4' and '18' with the two other boxes left unchecked, click ok. Right click again, go back to meshes and in the second box click on 'update tangent space'. I'm writing this from memory, so if that doesn't fix the issue they may have to go back through Blender and Outfit Studio. On further thought, the bone weights for those clothing might of screwed up on export. You could also try opening them up with Outfit Studio and re-copy the bone weights from the male body to the clothing... If you fix the issue, feel free to upload the fixes.

Ah I see! I did a quick Google search, and it does look cool. But I'm not sure which has better mod support, but it is clear that SOS seems to be more publicly available. 53 minutes ago, nikoli grimm said: I'm not actually playing Skyrim right now, but from the looks of the images, the meshes may need to to be cleaned up with Nifskope. I probably won't get a chance to test this until after work, which will be well-past midnight. I hope it works! 55 minutes ago, nikoli grimm said: I'm writing this from memory, so if that doesn't fix the issue they may have to go back through Blender and Outfit Studio. I should hope your first suggestion works out. As I mentioned, I have very limited experience with meshes, so anything involving them is a "learn-as-I-go" experience. Although, speaking of Blender, I should update my new computer with some 3D rendering/modeling software. 56 minutes ago, nikoli grimm said: On further thought, the bone weights for those clothing might of screwed up on export. I remember reading something along the lines of bone weights causing "mesh-stretching". . . but I'm not sure what they are. I'm sure if I screw around with menus long enough I'll find the appropriate settings. 58 minutes ago, nikoli grimm said: If you fix the issue, feel free to upload the fixes. Sounds good to me! If I (or someone else) can fix the issue, I'd like to incorporate this mod into one of my CIS-patches. The women of my Skyrim get outfits aglore, but the males don't really see much love. They need more styles!
capitanohook Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 hi ! 1 question this mod is compatible with tempered skyn for male ? and in download i see part 1,2,3,4 , do i have to download all the parts or just only part 4 ?

I've never downloaded "tempered skin" so I really couldn't tell you. If It works with the SOS bodies it should work with the SAM body. If I recall correctly, part one was the meshes, parts 2,3, and 4 were textures. You can use your own textures but some of the outfits had their textures altered to become invisible and would reappear without making the same alteration to your existing textures.
J.Azure Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 This looks great! I haven't seen a male replacer that i liked this much yet. I'm curious. Are you planning on Doing the rest of the outfits in the game or was this more of a short term mod than that?
ZOxar Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Hey, few questions. What textures and models are you using for this skin? I want my characters texture to match everything on the outfit.
