tikibomber Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I don't know if I need the SKSE Script Extender or what. I'm using Vortext as my mod manager. I have several mods installed from Lovers Lab, thus why I cannot request assistance from Nexus. I just need some help as I've ran mods before on SKSE without an issue.
Lakitty Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I'd suggest giving Mod Organizer 2 a try personally(after trying Vortex, I think you'll run into fewer problems with MO2), but you'll need to install SKSE manually regardless of which mod manager you use. To do that download SKSE from https://skse.silverlock.org/ and drop it into your game folder, where you see SkyrimSE.exe, not the data folder.
tikibomber Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 I'll give it a try, thanks. EDIT; I've already installed the newest version of SKSE, and still having issues with my game loading in.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on this, but since SKSE isn't the problem (perhaps double-check the readme anyways to make sure you did everything right) it's probably something to do with the mods you installed recently. Either disable them one by one to see which one is the problem or post your load order here for everyone to take a look.

I even reinstalled the game itself (Steam, woohoo) and it still isn't working.
rhinna Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I do know Skyrim just did another update a day or two ago (yay Bethesda) after doing one about 10 days ago. Each update requires new SKSE build, and yes, unfortunately updates from all these wonderful mods, or you will get all sorts of messages and warnings when you log in. Not sure if that is the issue for you or not, but I would first check : Your latest version of Skyrim versus your latest version of SKSE. Make sure they are compatible. If you are running the latest versions, then the loverslab mods will NOT work. Right now, the version of SKSE up on silverlock is for the *new* updated skyrim I think it's 1.58? not sure. These mods right now aren't updated to the new version of SKSE or Skyrim, so you need to roll back your version of SKSE and Skyrim to get everybody happy and working together again. The mods work with SKSE (Skyrim SSE) version 2_00_15 and Skyrim SE 1.5.73 There are links to do that - it's quite simple actually, rolling back Skyrim. Here are the steps: (that is for SE) https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/c07et2/skyrim_se_updated_to_1580/er29top/ For archived SKSE builds, go to http://skse.silverlock.org/ and click on the hyperlink "archived builds" Remove the SKSE in your game, don't replace the files. Hopefully that will help! If you have Oldrim, it's the same...roll back to the previous update which was around 6/3/19. To avoid this in the future, the easiest way I found was to start steam in the offline mode - then it will not autoupdate, and launch the game from the SKSE launcher
