rev96 and animations

Hi

I'm currently using rev91 with some handpicked animations from the daedra sutra pack.

I thought about upgrading to rev96, but I'm not really sure if I should.

Maybe it's a stupid question, but could there be problems with my animations, if I suddenly use the newer rev96? Maybe I shouldn't upgrade in the first place?

I'm not sure what's new in rev96 and if it's worth it.

Rev96 is pretty stable and it is hard to explain exactly what all has change without getting pretty technical. To put it in simple terms they made a few improvements to scripting and the options. You certainly don't have to upgrade by any means! If you are happy with rev91 then you are fine.

As to the animations, rev96's resource pack only comes with animations 1-10. You don't need the resource pack to upgrade however. You can just install the base pack which is just an esp. I did make an 11-300 custom animations pack that removes all duplicates and is pretty much all bbb (bouncing breasts). It is a completely optional install. You are more than welcome to select your own animations from the Daedra Sutra or just keep what you already have. I am a firm believer in you installing what YOU want.

Cheers,

Greg

So there are no compatibility problems with animations, if i upgrade to rev96?

TBH I don't really get what's up with the numbers in front of all the animations. Kinda to know in what situation a specific animation is supposed to be played?

Seriously I'm just making this up as i go :D

I saw your pack floating around somewhere and wanted to try it at one point. What do you mean exactly with 11-300? Like i said total noob here :P

There are no compatibility issues with any of the animations between any of the revisions of lovers from 91 to 96. It makes zero difference.

The numbers in front of the animations represent each different animation. If you go grab the Daedra Sutra animations complilation pack then you can look at pictures of what each animation is. Link: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=10356

Each animation consists of 1 ini file and 8 animation files (.kf). Now some also have some props (like furniture and what not but that is a getting more technical than you probably want to at this point). If you are missing any one of the 9 files then that animation will not play.

The new version 3 Resources pack for Lovers only contains animations 1-10. The animation pack I assembled pulled animations from the Daedra Sutra as well as from the new stuff that Grumpf, Northern and Nusbie have made and put it into a 11-200 pack. 1-200 is the range of animations allowed for use between humans (PC and NPC or NPC and NPC). 201 and up are for creature with PC or NPC.

Animations are split up between several major groupings:

group 0 = cowgirl

group 1 = from behind (can be standing, sitting or kneeling).

group 2 = missionary and laying down animations

group 3 = standing while facing each other animations.

group 4 = oral animations.

group 5 = PK extender animations (if you are running extender)

group 100 = creature animations.

Thanks for the explanation.

I noticed quite a few animations with items (table, etc.)

Is there a way to find them with that grouping system?

Yes and no. They are scattered throughout the groups and don't stand out in any way that you would notice from the ini or kf files. I alluded earlier that they come with an extra set of files (nif files) and they have to be installed as well or the object won't show up.

The easiest way to find them is simply look at the daedra sutra and make a note of their animation number.

Now one big note here is that if you install the 11-200 bbb animation pack I assembled then the numbers are not going to match up to the daedra sutra. You will have to look at the revised renumbering file I included with the pack to cross reference the numbers so you can see the correct picture.
