Looking for mage NPC types ingame for RP story progress!

Hi all,

 

Oddly I'm having a really tough time finding a list of NPC's with magic knowledge (other than trainers etc.), I do know quite a bunch of them, but I am wondering if there is a NPC out there (not per se a follower/trainer), which knowledge of mystical beings / alteration (shapeshit knowledge), looking for a more immersive way of re-adding my chars tails and ears (Breylyna's experiment really messed up!).

 

Preferably not wandering around the mages guild (or in winterhold) ;)

You might try Dravynea the Stoneweaver in Kynesgrove.  If you do her quest to bring one unit of frost salts she teaches you a level of Alteration.  She is a trainer too, but not connected with the college.  Falion in Morthal might also be a way to go. In the Elder Scrolls I don't think shapeshifting is a magical power as much as a curse. Falion's dealings with conjuration, daedra and the undead might give him insight into something like that.

Oh nice one! Hadn't thought of Falion (I haven't played vampires in aaaages xD), never even seen Dravynea, could be a more fun approach! Thanks!!!
