Music volume keeps reseting to 0

I've searched the internet for this problem, but didn't find a single answer.

I've installed Oblivion with the BetterMusicSystem and it didn't work for some reason, meaning I had no background music. Other added stuff like heartbeats and other sound effects worked fine though.  So I unistalled this mod again. But the problem still persists.

The problem I have is a bit strange. I can hear ambient music tracks and battle music, but once the battle ends, instead of going back to ambient music, it sets the music volume to 0, which is very annoying because I have to go back into the options menue.

Other sound effects are not effected by this problem.

I have an USB stereo headset if that matters.

 

I have a lot of mods installed, but I had this problem with very few mods as well, I think even before installing the Better Music Systems mod. Not sure if I would have the same problem on vanilla.

Does anyone had the same problem, or an Idea how to fix it?

Why are these Mods at the end ?

Body Writing.esp
BitchTattoo.esp
LSTaddonInH.esp

 

 Body Writing.esp and BitchTattoo.esp are clothes Mods, so before DLCHorseArmor.esp


LSTaddonInH.esp is a Lovers Mod. No Lovers Mods after

LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp
LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

Load it right after BravilUnderground.

I do not use the BetterMusicSystem , maybe it is a setting, so that you hear music only when something happens ( like a fight )

You say sometimes you hear the music and it get quieter over time. So no Mod have replaced the music file with a silent file.

So it must be the BetterMusicSystem settings.  Check the menu again. No readme?  Or tips at the download page?

And a question:

You use PlayerSlaveEncounters  and Unique Landscapes . Is PSE  playable?

 

Once I did a esp check and saw that PSE  used/changed cells that are used by
Beaches of Cyrodiil (Lost coast)
Cliffs of Anvil
Ancient Redwoods
Imperial Isle
SnowDale
 
There are camps.
Is it playable? No floating tents, bedrolls, fire, .... or things below the grond? Or landscape tears?

Oh, okay, I just sorted the mods with BOSS without changing anything.

That being said I unistalled BetterMusicSysyem and have the same problem so I dont think its related.

Also I can hear all music, all the music files are there. But I have to manually go to the sound settings and change the music volume. After a while the Volume gets set back to 0, and I have to reset it. The music isnt replaced, but something seems to change the volume after a fight for some reason.

BOSS put Mods that are not in the BOSS Masterlist at the end of the load order, you must sort the Mods manually.

You get a message when you run BOSS that some Mods are not sorted.

I do not see a Mod in your load order that change the sound. But I do not know all your Mods.

Sometimes Mods change things which you never expected.

Perhaps one of the Menus Mods? ( I do not use menu Mods) or dialog Mods.
Any OBSE plugins that affect sound/music ?
 
No Lovers Mod do it and no DLC and Unique Landscapes Mod.

I think (only tested 10 minutes so far) I fixed the issue. If anyone else has the same problem, the soultion was to set PatchMusic=0 in the Trifle.ini plugin.

Thank you a lot for giving me the tip to look into the plugins. Also thanks for correcting my load order!
