lobsterface Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Hi all I have been trying to convert a hair from LE to SE and add HDT physics in the process. I have been successful in converting it to SE but have been unsuccessful in adding HDT physics. Since HDT SMP doesn't work with actual hairs, I have added it as a wig. The issue that I have is that the hair is totally static, despite having added the necessary components (skeleton, weight painting, hdt smp xml file + link in nif). I have absolutely no idea what I am doing wrong. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. pony06.nif pony06.xml
OrrieL Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 First we need to make sure the smp plugin picks up the xml. What do you see in the smp log? There should be at least complains about virtualground shape not found in the log as it is defined in the xml, but not present in the nif.
lobsterface Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 It definitely complains about the virtual ground then throws an xml parse error - Unexpected end tag.
lobsterface Posted May 10, 2019 Author Posted May 10, 2019 Right. So i just realized that the log file included the line and character number for the error. Turns out I'm just thick and I made a typo in one of the variables I was closing. The hair now 'functions' in game, by which I mean that my xml file is totally screwed up and doesn't add physics to the hair, just locks it in one direction. I may need to look into how to write xml files. Thanks for the help, I was unaware that there was a log file for hdt physics.
