I am trying to make a Skyrim race mod based on the WH40K Tau. I know how to make meshes but other than that I'm not too good with Skyrim modding therefore I decided to use the SkyDraenei mod as a baseline (due to the similarities), only editing the meshes and textures to fit the Tau race https://www.immyneedscake.com/skyrim-se-mods/skydraenei-race. I found a free-to-use female Tau model online (https://sfmlab.com/project/28240/) and converted it to .obj then to .nif and scaled it down in Outfit Studio. After that, I tried just replacing the Draenei body mesh with the converted Tau model, while also removing some of the unwanted parts of the Draenei mesh (like the tail and "hair tentacles"). I am not stupid enough to think that'd be all there is to do but I did hope that it would clear up some questions about the mod-making process. As you can see in the attached picture the body is T-posing and has those weird polygonal shapes on it. It doesn't cover the whole body because the mod uses separate meshes for hands, head, and hooves. The T-posing probably stems from a lack of bone-weighing. But the weird texture is a complete mystery to me. I tried applying a gray texture to the Tau body .nif in NifSkope (it seemed fine) but in-game it looked like the second screenshot until I turned on the racemenu and then it went back to polygons once more. I have no mod dev experience (outside a scuffed but functional CIS droid army mod for Stellaris and a simple patch for Minecraft TFC blocks to function with Archimedes Ships), but i wanted to try my hand at a simple patch for the Mind Break and Trauma Framework, see spoiler below. Nothing special, just detecting certain things from sexlab or other mods and applying the appropriate values into the framework. You can do some work on this from the MCM, but I'm not sure how much and the UI just is a much worse way to do such things than normal coding. I guess what i'm wonering is "how do i even start"? would I need to install the CK? Can I just open up notepad++ and edit some plaintext JSONs like I've done for other games?

does anybody here use 'reliquary of myth'? is it difficult or unwise to change all dragon priest masks and miraak's set to clothing in this mod "reliquary of myth"? there are some scripts associated with the wooden mask in vanilla game. and miraak's set has also scripted effects on it. is it a simple thing as setting the keywords to the right ones or will it need to fix the scripts as well? or just add some recipes to forge that makes it possible to craft light or heavy or clothing version? are there possible repercussions to changing the keyword or add recipes to make heavy or light or clothing versions of the equipments (esp. miraak and dragon priest masks)? like when they were referenced in a quest that needs certain keywords or the scripts used on miraak's set from reliquary of myth would mess up (for example checking if there is or referring to an incidence of light armor and else heavy armor version of miraak mask, but it is not found as it is made into clothing)? and if i just add recipes to the sky forge so it can be reforged into heavy, light or clothing whenever i wish, would it mess up some associated scripts (like the scripted absorption on miraak's set)? does reliquary of myth come with an installation option to change all dragon priest marsks etc. to heavy / light / clothing? there is an option says Dragon Priest Mask but I am not sure what it does

I have some modding experience in EU4 and little of CK2 but I sincerely have no idea which files (other than similar names) i need to edit and which lines in particular. Hello guys! question, how do i replace "Dead" skeletons? with playable-race Dead Npc's? What i mean by "Dead" skeletons, i mean the in-animated skeletons you find all over the world, the skeletons of those who died long ago, that have nothing but bone meal and a few septims, not the ones that attack you and are re-animated, those are the ones i mean. What i want to do is use my mod To replace those skeletons with dead npc's using these outfits, this is the part were i want also to know whow to make these outfits, un-removable and un-lootable from said coprses Thanks for your help.

So I've decided to pick up Fallout 4 after taking a long break. Too lazy to install all the mods all over again, I decided to copy my whole game directory from the previous PC, including the load order. (Been using NMM at the time). Been modding my Fallout 4 with MO2 and everything seemed more or less fine, though there were some common modding-related issues on my end. One of them was the issue of MO2-bound Bodyslide not rendering textures for the body in preview, even though all the links seemed to be correct. I poked around and tried to launch the Bodyslide x64.exe in the Tools directory, without MO2. Bodyslide x64.exe launched directly showed proper textures, but the archives were old and didn't contain recent presets I installed. Also, the executable was from 2018. The one bound to MO2 is linked SOMEHOW to the same directory (as it turns out not really), shows recent presets BUT doesn't show textures. The executable is from 2022. Trying to figure out what was wrong, I carefully compared all the directory-related settings in both Programs opened at the same time (weirdly enough, task manager showed identical properties) and found out that both of these programs have the same directory BUT. One is situated in "Data\Tools" folder, while another shows "data\tools". Weird thing is that Windows Explorer shows only the capital directory, but if I try to browse the directory from Bodyslide, they show difference in directories, file size and count. What gives?!

Hello guys, i have stumbled on this issue were CK crashes on the helmet of an outfit im making, everytime i load the Helmet, just the helmet (the rest loaded no problem) CK crashes, I have no idea why, but i think it has to do with the .nif file, could you guys help me out please? looking specifically for detailed penetration, and actual detail anuses for sims?? i have most things, DD, WW, load of animations, sim snatcher, all the cool stuff now i wanna expand on the realism of all things LEWD. detailed animations both straight and gay, detailed butts and butt holes, detailed gaping during animations etc. if anyone has any shouts? and if you have anymore recommendations outside of my requests for anything LEWD sims related. let me know.

i dont know how it got in here and i tried everything from editing the ini filer of racemenu, to editing the files of the preset itself to try and remove the overlay but nothing worked. i also have the femalehead.nif in the character assets too so its not the problem. PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone. I've been trying to make SPID lists for some armor mods I've been using that don't have one yet, I'm new to modding and what've done for now seems to work. Right now I made a list for the Bikini Mage Robes mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41285?tab=files) but it took me like 6 hours to set everything somewhat properly so that SPID replaces the outfits of female NPCs using any of the Outfits from the base game that use the college of winterhold robes like FormID: 0x10dd30 (CollegeExpertAlterationOutfit) for example, the same esp I made also adds enchanted variants of each bikini robe using the base game enchantments for the college robes (if there is a way for SPID to handle the enchantments so that I don't have to make 15 different armors through xEdit, please let me know because while everything works, I'm sure this is the ducktape way of doing it). I also want to do the same for the vigilant of stendarr outfits that use the college robes/hood (gloves and boots would be the ones from TAWOBA Remastered/TEWOBA, though I'll probably make a more basegame friendly version too at somepoint). I've found like 2 or 3 vigilant of stendarr outfits through xEdit but some of them also reference leveled item lists for the gloves/boots/robes but everytime I try to look up editor IDs that have Vigilant in the name, xEdit starts from the first entry that matches, that being one in the Cell group, and then I have to slowly go through entry until I find the ones I'm looking for and if I just so happen to select something else, the next time I look through the editor ID, it goes back to the top. I may be stupid and I'm just using xEdit wrong (which is 99% what's happening TBH) but I would really like to know if they're like a spreadsheet somewhere that lists all of the form/editor IDs from the main files (everything that comes with special edition, if there's one for the anniversary edition CC that would be cool but I feel like those are easier to navigate since they're smaller files) so that I can find more quickly the stuff I want to replace/reference through the esp file and SPID. The UESP wiki has been helpful for stuff like enchantments (or items that have the enchantment) but stuff like outfit and leveled list entries is what I want to look up more quickly. I found one that was made years ago for Oldrim and one for LE but they don't have Outfits or Leveled Items IDs listed, I've heard there's also a way to print out a txt file with the form IDs using the Creation Kit and if that is my last resort I guess I'll have to install it just to get what I need.

Hey guys do you guys know why everytime i try to make an outfit using the mesh of the naked body, it becomes invisible in-game? i made an outfit using the thighs of the UUNP body as a separate accesory using slot 45, but for some reason the thighs never show up in-game, they do show up in Bodyslide, Creation Club and the game's inventory... How can i fix this?

I'm going to be completely honest RN this is the only sims4 modding community I know of. So I am a mass effect fan and i am trying to make a Tali helmet I used sims4studio to get a nude mesh and used one of the free models from sketchfab and now I have it a brick wall. The helmet has textures and it is in a .blend file any assistance would be marvelous as I said I have seen a few things that were made around here and ya'll seem good at what you do. Anyone who wants to talk about the .blend file send me a message or something and i will try to get the mesh to you. :)

Hey there. Does anyone have foot claw mesh for CBBE/UNP feet? Like Kaw's Claws but for feet. I'm looking for something similar to BaronB's oblivion mod Black Dragon that has the claw replacer but for Skyrim foot models. The claw mesh is in his file: nikojaeger's "Half-Khajiit-Race (Ohmes-Raht)" mod has feet mesh with claws but the claws are not separable and the foot model is based on Phygit's FemFeet which is a vanilla foot replacer so it doesn't line up with CBBE/UNP/7B bodies. Is it possible to convert BaronB's oblivion claw mesh to CBBE/UNP/7B? Or is there a model out there somewhere? Thanks for any guidance!

so i made a custom model for the sims 4 and i want it to take the hair equip reigon. It is a mass effect quarian helmet and sims 4 studio is not working for some reason. Anyone who can help i can send you the file and convert it for me? I have hit a brick wall. But please do not try and take credit for my work.
