How to navmesh a static

I need to navmesh this static, meaning I need the NPCs to be able to walk back and forth the beam

 

I have tried the CK right-click => navmesh, no joy. Tried declaring it as "ground", no joy either. How else?

Thanks, but how exactly do I do a Havok based generation?

 

I've never made a navmesh before, this is my first

Ok, I have done that having my object selected, then open, and CK just crashes to desktop instantly

would you like to try navmeshing my mesh, see if it works for you? sounds like a simple process (assuming it doesn't crash)
