How to add _0 and _1 weigths to an armor converted

Hey there!

Me again....  I was trying to convert the "Cre casual outfit" mod from UNP to COSIO HD, i've followed the great tutorials gaved me by zzyyxx that i thanks again.

Everything's fine until i saw that some outfit in the original mod doesn't have the _0 and _1 weights .NIF so the sliders won't work, there is only a single .NIF.

I've searched all around but found nothing that explain how to add the _0 and _1 .NIF files to an armor that comes without them.

Any suggestion?

I've also seen that after doing the conversion the _0 and _1 weight .NIF are automatically added in the mod folder but the game keep use the single .NIF file as if the two weight doesn't exist, is that something i can change in CK?

Thanks to all!

thats an CK issue, while creating an ArmorAddon with a single _1.nif file it continues to just use this nif. I personally found a walkaround by creating a new ArmorAddon, remove the old one in the "armor".

If you need any advice in how to to that just ask.

cheers.

Hey avebrave!

Thanks a lot for the reply, in fact i would really appreciate some help cause i don't know where to start, I know how to use CK, but some tips on what to do would really help.

So as i said basically i'm trying to convert an armor that doesn't have the _0 and _1 .NIF, there's just one file named Cloth_Top.NIF

I've alredy done all the work in bodyslide and now in the data folder of the armor i have these files:

Cloth_Top.NIF (the original UNP file)

Cloth_Top_0.NIF (generated during conversion)

Cloth_Top_1.NIF (Generated during conversion)

Now i don't understand why the game keeps using the first file, because when i go in bodyslide to build the outfit everything is fine, it display COSIO body as it should be.

Then when i wear it in game everything switch to the original file (UNP without HDT).

So if you could please show me what to do to actually stop the game from using the original file i would be grateful :)

A simple list with the steps to do will be fine, don't want to bother you.

Again thank you!

Not a big deal, just didn't want to post a step-by.step guide for things you maybe already know.

you definitely have to point the ArmorAddon to the right file, I personally recommend to create a new ArmorAddon since CK bugs if the first created ArmorAddon points to a single file:

- find the Armor you want to edit under Armors (if you don't know the ID name, just sort by FormID, then all the mod added Armors are in the top of the list)

- open it up (double click) --> here you can see and change all the basic stuff of the armor, stats, keywords, etc. Important are the Models, open it up with a double click

-  here you can see and change the body model, which shows up if the armor is worn ingame, you can now simply change the Biped Model from Cloth_Top.nif to Cloth_Top_1.nif and are good to go (but you may get the bug that you didn't get a weight slider option ingame and only the Cloth_Top_1.nif is used, because bugs...

- to make it nice and clean, click on ArmorAddon (left side under Armor) and simply right-click somewhere in the list --> and choose new --> give the ID a new name like: "previousnameFIX" and point the Biped Model to Cloth_Top_1.nif everything else has to be similar to the original ID --> after done click ok --> new ID is now created

- go back to your Armor (first step) right click in Models --> new

- search for your "previousnameFIX" ArmorAddon and add it

- remove the old ArmorAddon

- click OK and save the mod

I hope I didn't miss anything.

Happy modding. Cheers.
