pvpgirl Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 As the title says, I'd really like to 3D print my pc and maybe my favorite followers. Are there any known easy ways to export the models or is this going to be a massive PITA?

gullu Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 @pvpgirl did you ever found a way to do this properly? i recently got me a printer as well and managed to print this here UNPB body: Spoiler with all the supports and brim: after some cleaning: exported the *.nif from nifskope as an *.obj file, then sliced it in cura.. 0.3 mm adaptive layer height, printed in PETG i think it came out pretty epic.. however i soon realised that printing naked female bodies without hands, feet or heads might probably appear "a bit odd" to most ppl without the proper context.. so i wondered.. is there any way to export complete character models from the creation kit maybe? like you can see them in the actor preview with all the animations and such? or do you need a proper blender animations setup for that or some other tools? EDIT: btw.. How come we don't have a LL 3D-printers thread anywhere? or am I just too dumb to find it? xD
MadMansGun Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 copy/paste all parts into a skeleton.nif and then click on the export button (try not to have any meshes selected so it will export all of them)

EDIT: ok, doesn't seem to be as easy with the creatures as with that body.. something weird going on there.. (that's a troll btw^^) EDIT2: ok, if i set surface more in cura to "surface" the missing layers go away.. however then its completely hollow inside, which probably won't print well.. hmm.. maybe needs a few more conversion steps first, before it becomes properly printable EDIT3: cura mesh fixes might also be an option.. need to play around with that a little.. research time :D
