How to completely remove clothings from a follower? for immersion only :D

I have been trying to add custom body textures to some of the followers and wanted to see if it worked so I used "showinventory" and "removeitem (id) 1" on Curie. The command remove the outfit she was using but automatically equipped her default outfit which could not be removed using the "removeitem" command

Is there any other console command that would work?

Open the console, click on the NPC, and type

unequipall

then again

unequipall

Be aware the NPC will automatically re-equip the items on cell changes.

also some npc will magicly spawn all clothes right back into its inventory even when you completely remove them out of its inventory and just unequipall also there was a command to remove everything from npc inventory not sure what it was removeall or something similar. so unequipall may not even work if it is a genereic npc or even companion.

Thanks for the replies.

I only want to see if the custom body textures worked so I only need to see them naked for a few seconds so I don't mind them re-equipping on cell changes.

I will try the unequipall command

Also try this. I find it very useful for multiple different reasons. You can go into anyones inventory and trade stuff, call up anyones looksmenu and a few other things. When I say anyone, I mean anyone. I know you can do it with console commands but this is way easier and way faster.

What I used to do before I found this is just keep 1 piece of combat armor (like the arm) and equip that on them. Most vanilla outfits cant have heavy armor on top of them so by equipping it on them, it forces their regular clothes to come off.
