Idea: 21st century pornstar career.

Look, I know that pornstar career mods go all the way back to Sims 2, but those are almost all the same.  You go to your computer, or newspaper, or phone, click "find a job" and poof, you're a pornstar.  A few mods have done prostitution where you actually have to fuck clients in person, as well as great pimping mod that built on that back in Sims 2.  But that's old school.  Going to a film studio?  Collecting a regular paycheck?  What is this, the 1970s?  This is 2019, we live in a gig-economy now and you can do this shit from home.

 

It came to me when I realized that camera drones automatically shut off if you woo-hoo (vanilla) or fuck (wicked whims) anyone.  That saddened me, because we live in the 21st century now and since the game now includes a built-in system for fame as well as making videos in home for popularity & profit, all we need now is for someone to make PornHub into a thing for Sims 4.

 

Essentially it shouldn't be that hard, as the game already has video classes from when you record yourself or others doing things.  For example, even in the vanilla game you can tell a drone to film your toon while they're working on fixing or upgrading something and it will be called a Handiness video.  Film yourself chatting people up an you have a Charisma video.  For every skill in the game there is a video class and they all work the same - record, move to workstation, edit, tweak, release and profit.

 

Meanwhile, not sure if it's Wicked Whims or the MC Controller, but one of them adds a WooHoo skill to the game.  Depending on the skill of your partner, you can get a positive or negative buff based on the quality of the sex.  But that's not the point - it's a skill, now.

 

So all we really need for the modern pornstar is to do four things... or less.  Even just the first two would be a great start:

 

1) Turn off the automatic drone deactivation for sex.  Let that sucker keep on rolling to capture your sexual activities.

2) Copy/paste the WooSkill to the list of skill video types so they can be posted like any other in the game.

3) Add new trends to the list based on sexual activities.

4) Quality modifiers based on length of video, WooHoo skill, maybe others depending on how complex author wants to make it.

 

Ta-da, done - forget going to the office at all, because the modern day porn-streamer never has to leave the house.

 

Note that it doesn't even have to be sex - "masturbation" can be the trend of the week, or simply sexy modeling (record self admiring self in mirror while wearing Sleepware).  There's lots of possibilities, and at least the starting stuff should be pretty easy to do (i.e. turn off drone shutdown, add WooHoo to video & trend type lists).

I love this idea, but when I asked about the possibility of drones remaining active for lewd activities I was told that it was "not possible". x.x
