Weird armor crash

I got this armor mod and its giving some really strange crashes. I tested a few things and here's the weirdness. I'm using the ygnord race.

 

1. If PC equips the armor in a save, loading that save game -> CTD

 

2. If PC is wearing some other armor and equips the mod armor -> CTD

 

3. IF PC is stripped, and then wears the armor -> no CTD, all subsequent loads with the PC equipping the armor will work

 

4. If NPC (race doesn't matter, ygnord or vanilla) is wearing the armor -> no CTD, even in a load game where the NPC already equips the armor

 

 

I thought it might be a problem with skeletons so I played around with it but I don't think its the cause, especially given 3 and 4. It must have something to do with the fact that the Player Character is using it, but other than that I have no idea what it is.

 

Any help?

 

BTW I'm using the succubus armor mod from coolwing on 3dm, but someone pissed him off and now he removed everything.

These types of problems are usually caused by the nif for the armor itself ( or an incompatible skeleton, but already troubleshot that ). This is something the mod author should have troubleshot themselves but may not have been aware of. Usually improper link array order or conflicting properties. Or if a mashup, conflicting meshes.

Thanks for the response, I managed to get it working, turns out its was related to the mesh, but not the third person mesh for some weird reason, when I changed the first person mesh to some other thing it worked fine. To those having similar problems, change the first person mesh to something else. There were other succubus armor mods available so I used the first person mesh from there.
