Hellethia Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Hello ! I have a problem with a mod that i wanted to modify. It's the dress from Diana Allers Dress. I made some changes for reflections/shading, but the normal map is not considered... I tried to Update All Tangent Spaces as i saw on internet for a possible fix, but it didn't work But I also noticed that it doesn't seem to work on the original mod either Here's a pic of the current result, and the normal map that is supposed to be applied. The only detail is provided by diffuse map I also addthe current modified mod, so if someone want to try with more tools, any advices is welcome, thank you very much ! Mod_Dress.rar
Alter Native Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I'm unable to open the .rar file for some reason. Have you checked that both nifs _0 and _1 are pointing to the same and correct normal map?
AltNameByeee Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Took a quick look. You're normal map path isn't ideal. Correct it to look just like the other textures paths (i.e. starting with "textures\").

Thank you for your answer I tried download from here and i can unpack, so i think the problem is more on your side sadly There's only one file, no weight supported, so there's only 2 nifs: 1 for 2 different dress, the screen is made from dress2.nif

AltNameByeee Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I had an issue with normals not working on a weapon I made a while back too. Your NIF looks correct, and if that is the right path, then it could be the same phenomenon I had. I fixed it just by re-exporting the weapon. The NIF was bugged or something, honestly I don't know. I just remember exporting it from Blender again and the normals worked. Here: Scene Root.nif
AltNameByeee Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 And here are the editted normals I did; just in case. Honestly, it shouldn't make a difference though. jessica_n_redo.dds
Hellethia Posted April 14, 2019 Author Posted April 14, 2019 It works perfectly ! Thank you very much Collygon ! ?
