ice, fire and storm bikinis (URGENT HELP)

I am considering paying 100$ to someone to make me bikinis so I can import it to Skyrim as a mod and make the resources public. What are the file format, size format and other requirements necessary to be able to easily import it into the game, so I can specify it to the freelancers I am going to pay????????

Easiest way I know to get armor/clothing meshes into the game is to use Outfit Studio to import OBJ files and rig them there, so if you go for that method, OBJ files would be prefered. Then again, most 3D editing sofware (including Blender, which is free) can export OBJ files just fine, so as long as the assets are provided in a format that can be loaded in Blender/3DS Max/*insert your software of choice here* to be exported as OBJ, it shouldn't be a problem.

File size/polycount doesn't really matter that much (there's a hardcoded limit of 64k vertices per NiTriShape, but you can split the meshes into several NiTriShapes to get around it), and while going too far with the polycount can negatively affect performance or cause stutter when loading the meshes, you need a ridiculously high value for it to be a serious issue. Though obviously it's good to keep things streamlined if possible, so optimization is always welcome.

Textures should come as DDS, but same happens with those: GIMP and Photoshop can export DDS files just fine with the corresponding plugins, so any texture format like PNG or TGA would do. Just make sure the normal maps and speculars match Skyrim's shader layout (blue-ish/purple tangent normals with specular map embedded as the alpha channel) and are not some of that fancy PBR stuff from Substance Painter or whatever.

One small question: you mention "ice, fire and storm bikinis". Are they in any way related to/inspired by the vanilla Atronachs? As in, would they be based on their corresponding shapes? Just curious.

Yeah, want to pay someone to make assets so I can try to make SexLab compatible atronachs. Is it easy to model something decent with a limit of 64k vertices per nitrishape?

I wonder, would you want them to still be atronach-y, or just humans/elves, doing a, huh, "atronach cosplay"?

Don't get me wrong, even if it's the latter it would be interesting and I would definitely check the files out, but I have to admit IMO parch of the charm of the fire atronach is that it's made of living flames, and replacing it with some lame ol' human in a red bikini would be a bit boring. Same goes for the other two.

BTW, replacing creatures with NPCs is definitely possible, as I've done it myself with Hagravens. Only thing to watch out would be scenes or scripts that specifically require Atronachs to be their original creature races (because of some special animation or whatever), but I don't recall anything like that on atronachs so it should be fine.

It's more than easy. Pretty much every mod out there ever manages to do so. AFAIK you would actually have to be intentionally inflating the polycount and/or not applying even the lightest optimization to even come close to hitting the limit, and the only meshes I've seen that are around the limit are mostly ports from Daz3D.

And even then, you can have as many different NiTriShapes as you want in a single Nif (in fact you need separate NiTriShapes for each part of a mesh that uses a different texture), so that isn't a problem.

Also, don't modellers need the body size so that the armor fits the body?

It's not vital, because it can be refitted for Skyrim bodies later, but that takes more work and can end up reducing the quality and getting distorted and so on. Since this would be specifically commissioned, IMO it would make sense for you to provide whoever takes up the task with whatever base body shape you want them built for so they can fit it better to said body (so if you wanted it for UUNP, you would give them a UUNP body mesh, and same goes for CBBE).

For what it may be worth, NifSkope includes an option to export meshes as OBJ, so it should be easy to open your chosen reference body meshes in NifSkope and export them as OBJ so you can give them in OBJ format right away.

do you have the 3d model for CBBE?

Here's the base CBBE Bodyslide mesh in OBJ format, straight out of NifSkope's OBJ exporter:

I wanted them to be atronachy, but if I made them like that they wouldn't be sexlab compatible.

Actually, they could. All you need for them to be compatible with SL's humanoid anims is for them to use the humanoid skeleton and animations (which all playable/non-creature races do). You could even take the vanilla flame atronach meshes and rig them to the humanoid skeleton if you wanted, though it wouldn't be exactly easy. And the other two would need new custom-made meshes that were more humanoid, of course.

Well, I just found a mod that does this: Playable Flame Atronach. It includes a playable "race" that uses flame atronach meshes rigged to the humanoid skeleton as its naked body. I can confirm it's 100% compatible with custom animations/poses and even regular SL scenes.

Is there a way to swap the color and the effect, I mean if there was a way to easily do that, it could be actually worth the try. I could post the mod on thenexus since there are no permission issues on this website.

IIRC there are some retextures/alternate skins for flame atronachs around, but I don't know if they are simply texture replacers or the meshes would need edits as well to work with those.
