Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 fucking read this. a tl;dr in spoiler tag Basically, some dick writing for buzzfeed decided to write an attack article against some cartoonist....... the problem was that he based his facts off of a fake profile on some site the real cartoonist had never heard of, and generally didn't do an ounce of research. The webcomic guy proceeds to edit into a screencap of the article his responses, pretty much demolishing the guy quicker than a teacher demolishing a student that printed out a wikipedia article as a report, and left the url on the final version.

Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Buzzfeed got a decent ammount of mention during the election here in the US, with TV news praising them for sucking Obama's cock, and also got on internet news sites a lot, primarily for shit tier journalism that just wasn't responded to at all much less as epically as this. That oatmeal dude should sue the shit outta buzzfeed.

They were the employeer of the dumbass, as well as the fact that they hosted the content, they could be sued for libel quite possibly. That said I only advocate that because they have a history of lying in their stories.
gregathit Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I got a chuckle from the whole deal. Reporters not doing any fact checking has become rather commonplace in this day and age. That is one of the many reasons I stopped taking the paper or watching the boob tube for my news.
