VexyRage Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Ok so I've spent the past 5 weeks now following S.T.E.P. process to the letter to re-install Skyrim and all the fun goodies created by all you wonderful people and for some reason it takes forever (close to 20 minutes) for the game to launch, there's a bit of clipping, some freezing and CTD's. I am also getting a warning about JContainers & Creature Framework, which after going through the threads here about that issue have followed all the steps advised in those threads and the message still pops up. I think I might also be having issues with Papyrus as I'm running Windows 10 (sadly this comp came with it, I really want 7 Ultimate back, but cannot get it just now ? ) and it says Papyrus wants .Net 3.5 Framework while Win10 runs .Net 4.5 and will not allow Me to switch it even after multiple attempts. I am using MO, LOOT, FNIS, of course SKSE. I have thoroughly read & re-read all the readmes and info and instructions that come with all the mods I am using and I'm still having these issues. If anyone can help at all in any way I'd would greatly appreciate it. Attached are My loadorder, modlist, plugin list and papyrus log. If anything else is needed please let Me know. A huge thanx in advance to any/all help that anyone could give Me. loadorder.txt modlist.txt plugins.txt Papyrus.0.log Papyrus.1.log Papyrus.2.log Papyrus.3.log loadorder.txt modlist.txt plugins.txt EditorPapyrus.1.log EditorPapyrus.2.log EditorPapyrus.0.log Papyrus.2.log Papyrus.3.log Papyrus.0.log Papyrus.1.log
Guest Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 If you added all mods together it is a recipe for failure. I recommend starting with just the basic mods, and then adding 2 or 3 mods. Always start a new game (I recommend Life Another Life to start quickly.) If things work, then add the other mods, if not troubleshoot and ask for help here. Win7 or 10 are not a problem for Skyrim.
dibz666 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 That sucks ur game won't work right, I know the feeling... But I've never tried running that many scripted mods at once. I don't think it's cause ur on windows 10 since I have win10 & My Skyrim runs just fine (most of the time). I'm not a total expert, but speaking from personal experience I think it's just the amount of mods u have that's causing issues. Normally most mods don't affect performance but mods that add scripts &/or frameworks can affect performance alot more then You expect. You appear to have almost 50+ mods that alter the games code in one way or another instead of add to it like most mods (like armor & weapon mods). I'm not saying u can't get the game to work with all those mods, but when running that many script heavy mods u should expect some bugs & crashes. It could also just be your load order messing things up or things in your load order like plugins that are completely redundant. For example I noticed u have the "HighResTexturePack01-02-03.esp" plugins... These are not needed if ur using ENB & can actually cause issues with some mods. If u want ALL those mods I suggest u uninstall them 1 by 1 until u find the "problem mod" or conflicts between mods, otherwise your just asking too much of the game.
ritalmao Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Sort the mods with Loot and make a smash patch btw my personal advice, don't use MO2 unless you know how it works. Use Vortex instead. And don't use an enb, unless (again) you know what you are doing. It creates more problems than it solves

I did start with just the basic mods then add 2 or 3, through that process I have scrapped quite a few I was interested in, and I always use LAL when not playing a totally vanilla game, and sometimes even then just for kicks. 2 hours ago, dibz666 said: That sucks ur game won't work right, I know the feeling... I can't tell which mods are scripted or not unless there is a 'Scripts' folder contained within which means a manual look-see for Me ... I'm not very much of a techie at all ... the very little I do know I learnt from coming to this site to mod Oblivion (which should be working but won't launch at all due to the .NET I think und I blame win10 for that for the same reason ... am I wrong on that too?) & Skyrim :3 The issue with Win10 (I think) is the issue I described with the .NET 3.5 vs. .NET 4.5 ... of course I could very wrong not being a techie Myself.. I was wondering if the amount of mods might be causing issues, even though the game (at max) should be able to run 255, however with so many mods requiring all these other mods to run properly always bloats My modlist ? .. I do best to try and I emphisise try to keep it under 200 ... as life goes, it doesn't always work that way WOW 50??? I didn't think that many I thought maybe 20-25 ... however as a nudist RL I like to be that way in game as well, so I have maybe 3 armours I like and and maybe 2 clothing sets and 3 weapons, 2 swords and a bow so 99.99% of armour/clothing/weapon mods are useless to Me thus I don't use them ... I prefer "action" to aesthetics I did expect some bugs and a little crashing but so not this many bugs or amount of crashing, nor the 20 min launch ? even after running LOOT and FNIS which btw run way faster than the launch .. >.> With using MO (1 btw) it tells Me when certian plugins are redundant and I uncheck those in the right hand loadorder, like SOS_RaceMenu & BugBrawl, etc. The HighResTexturePack plugins are also unchecked in the right hand loadorder as I know only the .bsa files from them are needed when using MO. While I haven't done it 1 by 1, I have by 2-3 at a time ... however I was wondering about the latter point ... would you have a suggestion for the best experince with Slaverun both as Slaver & Slave? 2 hours ago, ritalmao said: Sort the mods with Loot and make a smash patch btw my personal advice, don't use MO2 unless you know how it works. It creates more problems than it solves Ok, checking that out now ... ...I hope its not like wryebash cuz that shit confuses Me to no end .. I decided the second I saw it that I would not ever use MO2 ... before that I went looking for NMM but found Vortex instead, attempted to give it a try, for some reason I couldn't get the hang of it even when looking through youtube info vidz, and was happy enough to find a manual install of MO1, since when I tried to use the .exe installer My stupid comp running win10 said that it would not install it due the change of .NET 3.5 vs. .NET 4.5 ... and as I first stated about that issue, I'm not a techie by far ansd when I tried all other advised ways, through microsoft and youtube, etc. ... still nadda -------------------------------- Also, any help with loadorder would be greatly appreciated ... I almost have it it half-assed figured out (I think [for Oblivion]) but so lost with Skyrim due to differences..
