Blue Body after...

Hello folks!

 

I'm experiencing an annoying bug I haven't been able to fix yet.

It occurred before when changing instance to SD+ Daedric Realm (by sleeping), since I couldn't fix it I avoided sleeping entirely.

Now a couple weeks later I finished QAYL quest, and deleted the mod (QAYL) from my mod list. By my surprise, the blue body returned when loading up my game. 

 

I have reinstalled all my body texture mods and ran FNIS, BodySlide, LOOT. Unfortunately that did not fix the problem I'm having.

Face, feet and hands are unaffected.

 

Update:

Starting a new game doesn't cause blue body, just the existing save. I'm 70% sure it's due to the tattoo's that QAYL adds on your character. After deleting the mod, it still registers those tattoo's on my character (viewable through "Slave Tats" MCM). Unfortunately I am unable to manually remove them through Slave Tats MCM. QAYL got an "Emergency Tattoo remover" option in the MCM, but it doesn't seem to work either when clicking on it.

this has happened to me as well, if the mod that you deinstalled added some type of texture to your skin like scars or tatoos, open ´´showracemenu´´ ingame, slide to the option that says,  bodypaint, its usually one of the last, and if any option says anything aside from default, and it says something like, ´´namirabodyscar´´ as an example, but you already deleted the mod that add those bodyscar, it will show like your image a purple body. if you still have it, with the mod installed, it may be that the texture has the wrong path.

it could be that, couldnt hurt to try.

I tried it yesterday with the mod uninstalled and the blue body stayed after setting the Bodypaint options on "Default". Thanks to your suggestion I tried it again but now with the mod installed, and it worked!

 

I am now able to continue my Skyrim Playthrough ^^

If you uninstall (script)mods midgame, this is one of the smaller problems you should expect. I would strongly recommend to avoid that or you'll kill your saves.
