bigglebojiggle Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Not sure where to put this, but basically I want to do an edit of the Alternate Start mod where when I choose "I was attacked and left for dead," the game starts up and I have absolutely no inventory. No outfits, no weapons, items of any kind. How do I go about doing this? I can't seem to figure it out in TESVEdit
Definitelynothereforkinks Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 basically a discovery channel show beginning = P I want!

I can't seem to figure it out in TESVEdit Chances are you would need to edit the script that is triggered on choosing that start, best be might be to ask the author if they can offer such a change as either another start option or as an optional script you can just download and overwrite the main script with. I had a dig through the mod with xedit and there is no indication of where the gear is coming from which is why I think it will require script edits to work.
sweforce Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Arthmoor have an extra "guard" start available precisely to be used as an example start to study. Maybe instead create a completely new start position. I have a hard time believing that bandits would literary strip you of everything anyway, to much bother. Maybe you undressed yourself to take a bath and then a dragon landed between you and your clothes so they are a lost cause or something like that.

Depends, when I am playing I take everything from every corpse, then drop what I do not want onto another corpse or container when weight becomes a problem. After all pretty much everything is worth something, and a group of bandits would want every coin they can get their dirty hands on. Chances are, especially if they think you are dead they would take everything, after all, why not?

My goal was really to point at it is probably better to add new start positions then to hack existing ones, unless it like the guard one, are designed for this very purpose. Whatever you choose to do, good luck.
