Missing Plugins/Mods for AAF

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I recently changed to AAF and have some trouble getting it startet.

(I used the Guide to install it.)

Everytime I start my savegame I get the same "Error Message". I searched for the missing mods (and found some) but at this point I am not quite sure anymore, what I am still missing or what I am doing wrong.

Can someone help me finding the missing plugins or perhaps tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

If you for example need a screen of my loadorder please let me know and I  take the screenshots.

(Oh and sorry for the german language :l  )

You have errors that come from more than a mod, because you installed options for mods you don't have in your load order.

Z_ARCHITECT

Reinstall THIS without selecting horizon patch.

THE OTHER ONES

They are probably from Savave Cabbage, HERE. Reinstall them without selecting CC content (=Creation Club)

After that, some of the errors should go away, if you still have errors please post a new screenshot

go to your AAF folder inside Data and delete the following (unless you have them in Creation Club)

SavageCabbage_furnitureData_CharlestownCondo

SavageCabbage_furnitureData_NoirPenthouse

SavageCabbage_furnitureData_NukaCollector

SavageCabbage_positionData_CharlestownCondo

SavageCabbage_positionData_NoirPenthouse

SavageCabbage_positionData_NukaCollector

This would have been next to impossible to debug on my own - you just saved me probably a few hours at least. Thank you!! This error isn't being properly caught and handled properly by either SavageCabbage's Animations or AAF.

The messages about modern furniture don't really need remediation by the AAF devs because it has basically no impact on anything,  It's just AAF saying, hey I saw this but you don't have this other thing.

But if you'd rather the messages not appear in the debug / admin console, I understand.  A cleaner log is easier to parse.

Cheers

I couldn't debug AAF using the admin console because one of the symptoms of the bug was that the admin console could be opened, but not navigated with the arrow keys, unfortunately. Also, I got no error message popups whatsoever - the only reason I knew anything was broken was because no AAF anims would start, and trying to start a scene with Enter would make the AAF icon briefly animate with the two dots, then simply stop and retract back offscreen. There was some kind of bug cascade I think. I'm too new to Bethesda game debugging to even know where to look for bugs - various possible log file locations, ingame in AAF's log, in the dev console, in MCM or F4SE or some other frameworks's interface (and are they accessed via console command or holotape or custom inventory item?) etc...

It's a steep learning cliff to climb if you're not already interested in mod development yourself, so AJ & Invictus' comments + this lucky Google result just totally saved my day

Ah, I see.  I had a very similar bug where I couldn't scroll through the admin panel.  The thing that fixed it for me was putting everything in the right order and double checking the guide that I had all the correct versions of the numbered mods.  There's a load order picture in the guide for MO2 users to follow.  The alternative if you can't scroll the admin panel is to reinstall AAF and choose the "debug" mode option.  This should put the messages on screen when starting the game.

Ultimately my goal in replying was to put it out there that this edit removing the xml files from SC's animation pack isn't a requirement for AAF to work properly  (otherwise this fix would be spelled out in the guide).  There's plenty of folks that don't have that CC and haven't made this edit, and their AAF works.  I'm glad you got it fixed, but just want to make sure the next person that has an AAF problem and finds this thread will know that it's not necessarily the cure.

If you have an AAF issue in the future that you aren't able to solve, keep in mind that there's a discord server linked in the Adult guide:)
