S0urceHunter Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 I share my computer with younger siblings that occasionally play Sims. I think i've got the WW hiding routine down, but is there a way to hide my WW households and sims so they don't get messed with?
angiebaby23 Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Someone else may have a better idea, but one thing you could do is back them up on a thumb drive/EHD and then delete them from the computer. Re-install from the thumb drive/EHD when it's your turn to play. Households and Sims would be your tray folder, but you may already know that. And of course your Saves folder.
REDFACTION Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Create several users on your computer and protect yours with a password. Most of the stuff you want to hide will be hiden this way. It includes your game saves, settings, browser favorites, history... And if you need to have an emergency shortcut in case someone enters your room, I have setup a shortcut to switch immediatly from my session to another opened safe session. Whatever you were doing (watching porn, playing a game), you will swap to the fresh and safe environment in 1-2 seconds. To do so : Open your session CTRL+ALT+DEL > Change User > Open a safe session on another user you created for this purpose On your safe session, open a random webpage or some stuff you will want to see when someone enters your room Let this session opened and come back to your private session Create a .txt file and copy paste the following text in it : C:\Windows\System32\tscon.exe 2 /PASSWORD:xxx Replace the "xxx" with the actual password of your safe account (your safe account MUST have a password, otherwise it won't work) Rename the .txt file into a .bat file Now, when you execute this file, you will swap to the safe session If you want to have a hotkey to do this, download HotkeyP and setup the shortcut you want to execute the .bat file Do your business ? When someone enters your room, press your shortcut and get swapped to the safe session Hmmm, this article about greek art is so fascinating !
