NPC not showing up under crosshairs

I recruited "Dawnguard new recruit" part of a add on mod for the Dawnguard using EFF. She follows me, I can spell bind her for sex, etc but cannot other interact with her. When I place the crosshairs on her, there is noting. I can see her in console mode. I tried diable/enable, Vilja reset spell. I can't see her listed in the EFF followers list either. Any thoughts , suggestions? Thanks

I can tell you what (probably) caused it, but that may not be helpful unless you know the inner workings of the mods you use.  In my experience, this is the result of a mod "storing text" on a reference alias, which changes its name internally.  If another mod is already looking at the original name, it can lose track of the actor.

 

The main culprit would be any mod that renames things/people.

 

Sometimes, there is an order that you can use to do this safely, so that each mod gets the correct info after the rename.
