Sexlab defeat vs Imps = CTD

The mod 'Sands of Time' has a lot of custom creatures. Even when enforcing 'lore mode' I'm getting many of them. And one of them, the various Imps, just does not like Sexlab Defeat.

 

These critters are tough, and seem to be able to reliably knock me into defeated - and if they do, as soon as sexlab announces an animation, I get a CTD.

 

Since they're a custom creature sexlab isn't aware of, I can't seem to find them on the do not allow list... which actually makes me a bit surprised as to how defeat manages to let them trigger it...

 

So I'm wondering... is there a way ensure a custom creature some other mod has added cannot trigger anything from sexlab?
