Pay Beggars Without Spending Septims

This little mod (9kb) adds dialogue topics to beggars that will let you pay them with cheap, generic items instead of giving them septims. They won't always appreciate your generosity, though.

 

There are only a few items that you can give them because they're beggars. Screw 'em.

 

List of items:

 

 

When they ask for food, you can give them a Bread Loaf.

When they mention shoes, why not give them a comfy pair of Sack Cloth Sandals. (NOT Jail Shoes).

They want medicine? Hand over a Weak Potion of Healing.

 

One more item:

 

 

If they mention food and you are currently (or ever have been) in the Dark Brotherhood AND your Master Speechcraft quest is marked as "Completed", you can give the dirty beggars Poisoned Apples. That ought to (eventually) shut them up.

 

 

 

 

 

I'm not sure that this even deserves an esp slot, but it is what it is.

 

Known Issues: There may be a topic conflict with LoversBoxing.esp if this mod is loaded first. Use TES4Edit to fix LoversBoxing (which is broken and unfinished, anyway).

Welcome. Its more of an example than an actual mod, though. Most of the beggars in my game are either dead or busy in Bravil...

 

There is much more elaborate beggar mod at the Nexus, but beggars annoy the heck out of me so I never bothered with it.
