lambient1988 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Hello, I am trying to run Skyrim Creation Kit but it gets stuck on "Initializing Windows" When I first open it I get the below error: I click "Yes to all" and proceed. Then I get stuck on "Initializing Windows": Gets stuck if I launch directly or through Mod Organizer 2, I tried both options. Or even if I disable all Mods on Mod Organizer 2 and then run Creation Kit. In the end it ends up using 3 GB RAM and 12% of my processor but nothing really happens. I left it open for an hour. I am running Creation Kit version 1.9.36.0
worik Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Did you try to run it directly from disk, without MO2 ... at least once for the first time? ? It's long ago and memories might have been blurred , but I guess I had the same issue and solution when I started the CK in MO1.

Yeah, I said in the first post, I launched Creation Kit directly, without Mod Organizer, still gets stuck. And it uses 3 GB RAM and 12% CPU so it's processing something but is stuck in a loop or something I guess? What's the latest Creation Kit version? Is the one I am using 1.9.36.0 currently the latest?
worik Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 v1.9.36.0 is the one that I have, too. Things that come to my slow mind ( still , not enough ☕? yet) check that you have a SkyrimEditor.ini in your profile check that you have a SkyrmEditorPrefs.ini in your profile if yes but it still doesn't work check in the native Skyrim folder and if they are not there, make copies

No actually, I don't have those files. Should I be having those? If yes, where can I get the correct ones? Sorry, it's my first time running Creation Kit.

They should be generated by the CK by its own means the first time it is executed. That's why I was asking. I guess it won't work othewise. Try mine, but make sure you adopt them to your own setup and needs! (link will follow in a minute)

Creation Kit is working now but I am getting 2 errors when I load Follower Neisa.esp and it's master files (Skyrim.esm, Update.esm and Dawnguard.esm) and after than Creation Kit directly crashes. I click Ignore. Then I get this: I click Yes to all. Then Creation Kit crashes. Please help.
worik Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Ive never heard ov that mod, but by the error message it appears to be localized. CK doesn't like localized esps. Idea 1: have a look at that file. idea 2: a bit of internet research Maybe ? Skyrim+esp+localized+creation+kit+error
