XEO/MBP problems... possibly

Okay, so I finally got down to reinstalling Oblivion, and I'm running into some problems with MBP and XEO.

For one thing, I'm pretty sure Rohssan isn't supposed to look like this.

And for another, some people look like their standard vanilla face shapes, only with changed eyes and sometimes hair.

Here's my load order.

I wonder if I could fix it by simply removing MBP, since the first time I ran a 'Loversfied' Oblivion, I don't recall having it - just XEO.

Tangentially, MBP2ch Edition Full and Deadly Reflex don't seem to play nice with each other (game crashes when I try to run it with both active) which might be why all of this ugly stuff is going on... since I opted against installing it for the sake of Deadly Reflex.

I think you will find she is meant to, she always looks like that in mine even though all other NPCs are working fine.

Did you make sure your Oblivion.ini is set to

bFaceGenTexturing=0

Personally, I had major issues with both MBP and XEO until I managed to try the all-in-one compilation found here in the download section. Using that in conjunction with BOSS made the NPCs pretty easy on the eyes, and got rid of the strange texture anomalies.

If she's the only NPC to look odd, then it might be as Ark says - they can't all be winners :)

Unless you have installed a mod that uses MBP then MBP is not changing your game. MBP is a passive resource plugin. It is NOT a replacer mod like Xeo is.

What version of Xeo are you running? The most compatible version of Xeo is XeoSP++ as it plays very well with MBP.

Also, MBP should have absolutely nothing to do with Deadly Reflex. I don't understand that one bit. I have been running DR6 since it came out along with MBP and XeoSP++ and never had any issues. DR6 really needs to be lower in your load order than you have it. Put DeadlyReflex 6 - Combat Moves.esp and Deadly Reflex 6 - HeX NifSE Patch.esp at the very bottom to make certain nothing messes with it. Enable your MBP files and merge the majority of them into a bashed patch and you will be good to go. Click on the spoiler at in the OP to see which get merged in: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6133

Disable and delete this: KT_CustomRaceFix.esp <---it is already built into UOP so you are just wasting an esp slot.

Where is LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp <---this has to be below LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

Hope that helps.

Yeah, I don't understand it myself. All I know is I was getting strange crashes until I disabled one MBP Omod in favor of DR6.

Anyway, yeah, I'm fiddling around with 'em, I'll be back if anything else astoundingly wrong crops up.
