[Idea] Arena mod

After all these years, how come I've never seen a proper arena mod?

And that, I mean, starting with the models for the arena. There are those nordic ruins models used on the final chamber of Dimhollow Crypt that practically scream "arena"

 

And yet, no one has ever used them for a proper site.

 

As for the rest of it, I'm sure scripting a quest and some fights can't be that complicated for people who knows their way around quests. All that remains is setting a proper challenge with rewards and a nice gameplay experience.

It could be just a ladder of defeating champions, or maybe even expanded to different types of challenges, like fighting monsters etc

And for the lovers of lewd things, why not some "mud wrestling" kind of deal? as another optional type of challenge?

 

Why is it that I still can't find any of this done properly, anywhere?

 

I only recently managed to learn some scripting, but I still have no idea how to do quests. If I had enough time, knowledge and motivation, I'd probably try it myself, but sadly, I'm busy on other projects. So I'll just drop this topic here as an idea instead.

There's plenty of arena-type mods out there, they're just usually hidden within some bigger mod. Helgen Reborn is an example of that. Here's a few:

I haven't tried any because it's not my thing but Ravengate and Pit Fighter seem to have a good reputation, especially Ravengate. It's not as linear as most mods will be and adds voiced characters, ways to get to know and/or cheat against your opponents, etc. stuff like that.
