Pixelated Shadows

Hi friends,

 

I think my shadows are broken and I can't work out why. The screenshot is taken without any mods, except a non-vanilla body and textures to highlight the issue. It looks like cross-hatching, and the shadows also ghost when the character moves their arm across their body, for example, which is very distracting. I've tried sifting through Google search results and tweaking all the .ini files and settings (available to SE, at least) to no avail. The problem persists without any mods (and with an ENB) installed, so I'm at a loss. Is there something wrong with my shadows or is this normal? Is there some secret ENB setting that fixes this?
