Jormungandr Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Tried it the last 2 hours to make the claws from kaws claws usable while wearing gauntlets/gloves. To no success, apparently it's not possible to do it with simple biped slot changes, either hands go invisible or the nails are invisible. So my conclusion is it's something in the mesh/nif. At least i managed to delete the cbbe hand mesh so it's nails only. My conclusion; it's something in the mesh/nif, some weird nifskope node science, which i know nothing about. Does anyone have an idea how a bloody beginner could do that or would lend a helping hand?

Well, slot 45 did nothing O_o, say, if i'd choose the tail slot for example, the nails won't float behind me as said tail, right? And is it actually needed to delete the cbbe hand mesh? I just set them both to 49 in each Nif and both biped slots in the CK to 49 too, the claws simply don't want to appear. Guess i'll try it again with the hand mesh included, maybe that helps.

[/quote'] Yep the 2 bsd is ok, 1 is for the left hand the other is for right. Just set them both to the same slot. If your having this much trouble then remove the bsd, or if you don't know how post the .nif and i will remove it. edit Do the 1st person nifs, and check that the paths are set in the CK.

The mod on the nexus, is now without those claws, i've fetched them here on LL but that shouldn't be a problem. This is the link to the mod on the nexus, this one has no claw meshes (For whatever reason the man took the claws out): http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5910 The "Kaw's Claws.7z" Is the one i got here from LL with the desired claws. And "these are the ones without 1st person", is what i was tinkering around with up to now.

Edit: Nope, nothing.

So we find a unused slot that lets you see them in first person or you make 1 use forarms and the other use hands. *edit* You could try 36 ring?

Apparently only the slots with 1st person default visbible gear. Gotta play a bit around with forearms though, i just like the bonehawk ring too much. Oh and i should REALLY delete the hands, that's some first grade pixel encrusted clipping here. In any case, you saved my day Vioxsis Thanks a ton. Now let's hope i'll get those hands nice and clean away, without nuking the mesh.
Vioxsis Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I just rememberd something that had to do with first person in this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6002 The Joy of Perspective They could not get the feet to show up in first person. looking at there esp in tes5edit, they edited the races to allow you to see amulet, feet, calve, circlet in first person. I don't know if you can add other slots to the list, but it's worth knowing. I also learned that 61 - FX01 can be seen in FP but i think that's for magic effects, so not much use.

I just set about to do what you were doing, I got as far as having them either disappear and take the hands with them, or take up the gloves slot. Would you mind posting the .esp you've made? I too would like some claws

I only changed the black claws (heavy light cloth) , the rest is still using the usual hand slot. The black claws use the ring slot. Not much else to say.
