Guest Donkey Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Earth Quake is always a terrible thing. My condolences to the families who lost so much. I hope we as an international community will be able to help in any way we can.
tomfoolery Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Heard about it from Google(they have a Tsunami warning up, said it was caused by the quakes). Really hope it doesn't get much worse than it already has.
thesin Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Tried to follow the news the whole day at work... The aftershocks and flood might not be their worst problem right now.
blueflame451 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Yeah its stunning... some of the videos showing massive flooding in Sendai is just horrifying. I can't imagine what they are going through.
quasimodo75 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 This sounds so horrible. Even pictures and TV reports probably cant convey how chaotic this situation is. The main problem presently is the nuclear powerplant. And this not a natural disaster, this is man- made and could have been avoided. According to some sources they were planning to have switched it off in a few weeks time. Tragedy.
Verice Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Oh, every day there are new updates about the accident with even worse news. The death toll keeps rising, and the thing that worries me also is the nuclear power plant in Fukushima. More and more radiation is being count near the power plant. I hope this will be in control soon, without further accidents happening. I also hope that this doesn't have consequences for the modding community!
Guest Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Well, Japan is said to be the most well prepared country in the case of an earthquake or natural disaster. They have to be since Japan rests around three tectonic plates and a trench. The damage could have been much worse if Japan wasn't as prepared but it's still a horrible tragedy. I'm particularly concerned on how Japan is going to take control of the nuclear power plants. They need to get water to energize and cool the fuel rods in power plants so let's hope they find a solution.
Guest Donkey Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Death toll is already 7900 and still 16.000 people are missing.. This is not good at all.
