Swapping body with a NPC, is it possible ?

I'm trying to have some story in my current playthrough and I'm at a point where I want my character and its follower to be "swapped" after coming out of Pellagius' dream.

 

What I basically want to do is this :

- Somehow create a duplicate of my character (which uses a custom race "Serval Khajit")

- Get a racemenu preset or at least face files from a vanilla race follower (I know this can be more or less done) and apply it to my character

But I'm not sure about the first step being possible.  I've seen mods such as Blueprints that can make a follower out of a preset, but as far as I know it doesn't work on custom races.

 

Does anyone know if I can achieve this ?  Or should I just give up on the custom race part ?

The "easiest" way to achieve this is making a custom follower out of character,  using the racemenu to apply the look of your follower to yourself and then swapping your follower with your own character's follower. It's a drag either way and is not worth it unless you are ready to commit to your plan.
