I've been regularly having crashes when traveling through doors and such and I've read that a wrong mod load order can make all the difference. Also if anyone is interested in the mods, feel free to ask me and I will point you to the source if I can find it again. As for the rest, I'm quite busy working all the time so hopefully when I get home somebody will have found a solution, but either way, thanks for your time.

Uriel Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Do you have 4gb patch applied? Without it your oblivion is limited to 2Gb's of RAM. With all those mods running this might be a problem. Do you really need all those mods? Are you using all those custom races?
gregathit Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Well, lets start with the obvious errors: 34 Lop-ears Elf.esp 35 Lop-ears Elf_mini.esp ----> Delinquent MASTER: x117race.esp 1. You should ONLY have one of the above two mods enabled. 2. You have a dependent plugin "above" its master (the master file for the lop ears elf plugin is x117race.esp) when it MUST be below it. 3. Pick only one of the two plugins and move it to be below x117race.esp and rebuild your bashed patch - but don't do it just yet - there are other things you need to do first. ----------------------------------- Next, up lovers. If you are going to ignore all of the information we have on the site you might as well just uninstall the lovers system. Either move all of the below to the very bottom of you load order or uninstall lovers: 3A LoversMB2.esp 3B Lovers3dorgasmMB2.esp 3C LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp 3D Lovers3dorgasm.esp 3E LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp Lovers HAS to have these files at the bottom or it will suffer from other things over-riding it and now work properly. ---------------------- Next, your bashed patch. I have no idea why you have your bashed patch up that high but clearly you aren't understanding what it is used for. It is meant as a conflict resolution tool. If it is that high up in your load order then it isn't resolving as many conflicts as it should and "could" be over-ridden by plugins below it. Oblivion works off of a system in which in cases of conflict the plugin that is lowest in your load order "wins" the conflict. See the problem? Move your bashed patch down to the bottom of your load order (just above LoversMB2.esp as you currently have it, once you move those to the bottom of your load order too). You will need to rebuild your bashed patch but don't do it just yet. ------------- Next up, you need to grab tes4gecko from the nexus and start combining your armor\clothing\weapons plugins. Anything that has just a couple of those in it has got to either be merged with tes4gecko or done manually via the CS or gotten rid of. The reason for this is: Stability. There are too many chances of one of those files containing a dirty edit that can lead to all sorts of problems, like what you are currently having or much worse. By doing this you could eliminate about 1/4 to 1/3 of the esp's you currently have. After combining the small weapons\armors\clothing plugins into one esp you need to move it to just under Oscuro's overhaul plugin (the esp). Finally move all remaining armors\weapons\clothing mods that you have not merged via tes4gecko to be just under Oscuro's overhaul plugin. NOTE: Avoid merging any "big" armor or clothes plugins - just target the ones with one or a few items. -------------------- Next, CM Partners - seriously consider dumping these. CM partners is a motherload of bad news at times. I improved my games stability about 40% just by dumping them. They contain a butt load of scripting that can cause slowdowns, crashes and corrupt save games. If you do decide to keep them, then move them up to the top 1/3 of your load order. After moving them check using Wrye for any delinquent masters and move any other items as necessary to correct the master errors. You may end up having to lower the CM partners stuff to around the halfway point of your load order. MCS (Mad Companion Spells) is an excellent replacement for CM Partners and it can be found here on the site under the non-adult downloads for oblivion. ---------------------- Once you have done the above steps (or skipped any you don't agree with) then disable all lovers esp and esm files and rebuild your bashed patch (lovers esp and esm files must not be included in any way in your bashed patch - unless a plugin specifically says it needs to be). After rebuilding your bashed patch, enable your lovers plugins and start a new game to see if you can travel about and enter doors without crashing. Cheers, Greg

I put my suggestions in a spoiler if you're interested... That's a terrbie load order - sorry. Have you arranged it with BOSS and manually set your Lover's Mods? As well, don't include any Lover's files (except those that explicitly tell you to do so) in your bashed patch. 34 Lop-ears Elf.esp 35 Lop-ears Elf_mini.esp Pick only one - then move the one you prefer below your MBP files. Generally speaking: All clothes/armour/weapons mods should be near the top of your load order. Animation / Pose mods should be above your bashed patch. I place them just above my MBP files. Add-On races should be above your Bashed Patch. I place them just under my MBP files. CM parters need to be above your Bashed Patch. I USED to place them just under my custom race files. Nothing should be below these: 3A LoversMB2.esp 3B Lovers3dorgasmMB2.esp 3C LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp 3D Lovers3dorgasm.esp 3E LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp If I was you, I'd run BOSS, manually set my Lover's Mods, cluster like mods together (clothes with clothes / races with races), and completely remove CM Partners. After arranging your load order, do a clean save without CM Partners (a lot of them are very poorly done) and test your game. If you insist on using CM Partners, start adding them one-by-one under your races. For a better, more Lover's compatible companion mod, try Mad Companionsip Spells. I got rid of a lot of my crashing problems when I ditched CM Partners altogether. Example Load Order courtesy of GregatHit. (Scroll down and read the spoiler).

BananaMage Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 I just got back from work and I am very thankfull that you have replied with such extensive feedback. Also don't get me wrong, I didn't ignore all the information on the site, I had my lover plugins in the order I was advised to put them, of course I didn't completely understand that they also needed to be at the absolute bottom of the list, I figured they were just supposed to be lower than the other plugins from the guidelines I have followed. Also I have indeed applied the patch to remove the 2GB limit from Oblivion. About the Lop-ears elves, I have had errors about them indeed but had no idea what to do with it. I tried to keep my bashed patch up that high because I thought it had to load somewhere near certain previous files. Of course I was wrong again but at least now I know why. As for the CM Partners, I don't even like that mod but I was unable to find a replacement of which I knew it could support the CM Follower plugins, I will definitely look into MCS, I do hope however, that I can still have companions with modded hair ( from 2ch. Beauty thing pack and such ) and other stuff like that. Either way, I must thank you for all this advice and I will now begin cleaning up my mods, and I will probably post here again to let you know how it went... Probably better than right now anyways. Also, it does not apply to all doors, but for example, certain places were more sensitive of where I knew I was going to find a bunch of random CM Followers and such. Also as a small token of my appreciation, here's a nipple, if my mods work, you get two! I also want to ask, about TES4Gecko, I have now merged several plugins into one, am I now supposed to delete the ESP's I have used to merge, and simply leave their folders for the new plugin to use?

I'm now going to try a shit load of doors, and try to figure out how the new companion mod works. Either way, it's way better than it was and therefore I thank you once again. Also I nominated you for the Prestigious Tit Award and it turns out you won, congratulations. Another update, I've crashed 2 times so far, once while using a Lovers Mod and another time when traveling trough a door, however I'm still happy it doesn't occur as often as it did, but I still need to figure out something, if there's anything I might have overlooked, feel free to tell me.
