Mr.Friendly Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 So I replaced all my armors with bikini armors in the game, then I thought it would be easy to find something similar for clothing, but to my despair that was not the case. I did however find the mods below with bodyslide support (sorted from most fitting for the job, down to least). And wondered if there was anyone with experiance that knew how to quickly turn one of these or all, into causal npc (npc without armor) clothing replacer (npc without armor)? If you can then I would be greatful https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70477?tab=description https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69497?tab=description https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/79950?tab=description
Varithina Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Hmm, think the easiest way would be to change the npc outfits, from the outfits section in the game to point to these bikini items rather than the items they did already, of course you would need shoes to go with them unless you want all the normally clothed npc's to be running around barefoot. Quickly however would not be an option, as you would be potentially changing dozens of outfits for npc's.
Mr.Friendly Posted November 9, 2018 Author Posted November 9, 2018 Okay, letting them be barefoot is no issue... for me. but if a modder dosen't think so they i guess something like this would work: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75905?tab=description Though the mod in my first link already has heels to go with the bikinis. Ah okej, was hopping it wouldn't be so difficult, too bad, but thanks for the responce.
Varithina Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Not too difficult, more damn tedious. Chances are something like this is done either by yourself (most likely) or if you are lucky then somebody else would go, yeh that is something I would like myself and has the know how to do it, while I could do it, it is not something I would use myself, therefore would not do, mainly due the the huge to do list for fallout 4/skyrim and skyrim se I currently have on the go. Though as you made the bikini armour replacer yourself, then doing the clothing one is just more time and effort in the same manner. 99% of any modding I do is for myself, some I do release, but it is not common, mainly due to the fact I can not be bothered with getting the various permissions sorted out to post stuff, vis/vis-g patches and femout patches tend to be the only thing I release (mainly due to the fact for the most part they do not require permissions from the mod author), plus the odds and sods mod now and then, my only public mods can be found on my blog here on ll, linked in my signature. I have a couple of big merged packs for fallout 4 one for armour and one for constuction/workshop stuff, neither will ever get released even just as esp's, mainly due to my laziness in getting permissions, though the armour pack does need re-building, they were nasty enough to re-do armorsmith extended and armour keywords, which makes the pack somewhat flacky in use as it uses the old keywords not the current ones.

Pauduan Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 You have two ways of doing this, one is to create a fresh esp and get the torso entries pointed to the right path as Varithina says. Another is to place the meshes into the folder the game normally points at, and rename them to match the names in the game. This takes about the same amount of time as you have to curate the meshes by hand and then rename two meshes per torso piece. There are 37 folders of clothes and few have more than one torso piece. That's about 100 pieces total, so it'll take a an hour or so. You'll also need a base replacer to populate the folders correctly so you can copy the names from there. However, this gives you an opportunity to learn a bit about modding, gives you the exact look you want, options to skip an outfit or two, and freedom of choice on a per-outfit level (eg not restricted to a specific body type. Footwear remains an issue but can be treated in exactly the same way. Else you have big clunky boots with skimpy bikinis - not exactly sexy (or maybe more so, whatever!).

Had totally missed that one somehow (probably beacuse the keyword was Tropical and not bikini, skimpy, sexy or bodyslide that I seartch with, so my bad), looks great. 2 hours ago, Pauduan said: You have two ways of doing this, one is to create a fresh esp and get the torso entries pointed to the right path as Varithina says. Thanks good tip, would have needed to do that if I hadn't been shown the above file. 6 hours ago, Varithina said: Not too difficult, more damn tedious. Thanks for tips and yeah I understand that there can be some problems publishing mods with all the credits and permissions. It is more due to how I do things, most people doing patches or changes to a mod, copy the stuff into another file, mostly in that case you just need to link to the main file and give credit to the author. In my case though I always create replacer esp, as I have having more esp's in my load order than is needed, which means I am editing the esp provided by the mod, changing and distributing that usually requires specific permission from the author, and depending on how old that mod is even getting in contact with the mod author can be a major pain or simply not possible. Though to be honest just now, damn well getting both my skyrim installs up and running is pretty much at the top of my to do list, though not much has been done on that last week, mainly due to me either working on my merged spell pack for oldrim, or playing the fallout 76 beta (and that had some damn nasty times to run in the uk), and when not doing that not really being in the mood to do squat diddly in the way of mod edits.
