In the 'monthly stream' they announced first person view. FIRST PERSON VIRTUAL SEX BABY! lmao ???

 

You can view through any controlled Sim, and even apparently cats and dogs can be viewed (but NOT controlled still, there are mods though). Its very janky but hopefully tweaks will be made/mods.

 

The November patch will come next Tuesday, November 13th, I'm mostly hoping for Season fixes like the simulation lag and stinky never go away leaf piles.

Well it's a nice surprise and some thing useful in many aspects of the game and offers a little something for everyone!

Wickedwhims and various actions will have some extra immersion but also I'm looking forward to implement this in my videos, as an animator I can have fun with this too! in the past I tried something called Xinmapper which allows an Xbox 360 controller to be used in place of a mouse and gives a first person roaming camera ('Chronicle" style) vibe but to see through the Sims eyes will be a blast!

I hate to burst your collective bubbles, but the new EA patch is going to mess with the game code by changing the Python used by the game.  All script mods, like WickedWhims,  MC Command Center, Nisa's Wicked Perversions, etc. will be broken and unplayable.

 

The new features, like the first person view, are a smokescreen to cover up what EA is really trying to do - to stop modders.

 

I recommend not downloading this new "update" unless modders can figure out the new code.  And even if they do, there are no guarantees that they'll be able to update their mods.

EA themselves have supplied the necessary tools for modders to get ready for the change over,

It's an upgrade not a nuke!

 

However it would be a wise thing to wait a little before updating if playing a modded game

I think people are way too excited for first person camera in regards to wickedwhims, sure it will be fun to try and have its moments - but for the most part POV (point of view) porn sucks.  Its always sucked, yes maybe as VR mode it COULD make it work but still...it will suck for sex.  Why?  Because especially without VR it feels weird to experience and looks weird to watch. 

 

Its one reason why porn is porn, because your watching the "whole thing" rather then some defined point where 50% of your view is blocked by a body/part/head/whatever.

 

More immersive maybe but its more then likely its gonna be one of those things you click into during a sex animation "just to see" it per animation, then realize its not the greatest viewing angle and click out of. 

 

I'm more excited just to play via first person in general, but in regards to wickedwhims and all the excitement that people are talking about in regards to the two being used...well I think its because most people haven't experienced pov porn and theres a reason for that lol...

One step out of adult gaming:

 

The first person view will make it much easier to make screenshots of the active sims partner when near without this often problematic navigation with the tab cam too. Hopefully! 

 

Next step in adult gaming:

 

To take a nearer look / screenshot of the sims partners during WW animations. For example...

Its true that it will allow for better screenshots, but overall if you really want to get those angles you already can and do obviously.  I'm thinking more as a gameplay mechanic with wickedwhims it won't be used as much because again in first person sex is a lot more "closer" and often a persons face or angle isn't really very good for viewing a lot of the action.  Plus the clipping will be insane, already a lot of animations clip like crazy between different sized sims, with pov its not going to get any better. 

 

I think for blowjobs will be where the pov will really shine though since I think they are very pov oriented for men.

So far I recognize, the sim can ´t be played activ in the first person view like at ego shooters etc. - but I m shure modders will solve this problem. Let s just wait and see - the count down already runs.

Actually yes they can be now, you can play a sim from first person.  chose actions, ect.  its all available, EA spent a lot of time developing it.  its not just a camera.
