[SSE] Deadly Mutilation mod taken down from Nexus (New mod: Maximum Carnage)

I'm still pretty new to getting mods on SE, I'm guessing Deadly Mutilation wouldn't work great with UNP bodies, or would it not matter once they're splattered everywhere?

Oh wew I completely forgot about this thread and didn't expect so many comments. Glad I helped some of you, I know the pain when I had when wanted to play it in Skyrim SE. I felt like I was missing a hand (pun intended).

Thanks for all the replies and file re-uploads, I see that mega link from my original post still works, and also there are some working links from a guest. Reddit was deleted, lul. I am re-installing Skyrim SE right now, and I am going to install mod from these files once again. Hope it works.

I never managed to fix magic not doing its mutilation stuff, and the random screams coming from death bodies when looted. Still, it was worth it.

Thank you for sharing this mod. Also welcome back to Skyrim SE :)

EDIT 6 DAYS LATER:

I haven't gotten to play through too much yet, but from my experiences, unless you are going to be running a mostly vanilla Skyrim, then this mod is simply not worth it.

It does run smoothly with tons of other mods packed on, but ultimately after tons of body mods and skeleton and physics mods, basically the only NPCs that get affected by this are male city guards.  If you're using CBBE, it won't affect female NPCs if you have any preset bodyslide other than the one that comes with the DM archive.

Basically, if you want to use Deadly Mutilation to its fullest, you need to give up basically every major body mod, or else it will only be useful against a very small number of NPCs.  On top of that, in order to maximize the amount of gore and dismemberment etc, you have to set mutilation chance up to 100%, and this basically makes every strike an insta-kill.  But due to the scripting involved, what usually ends up happening is you hit an enemy, and they have about a half second before they actually drop dead, so your dismembering looks laggy

ORIGINAL:

starting up Skirm SE for the first time (played original many times) and trying this.  I almost couldn't use the original Deadly Mutilation because it conflicted with so much other stuff and kept crashing the game.

This time around I'm going to see how it handles with SE.  There were a bunch of different archive downloads I got from multiple places so I don't know which I should properly use.  For now I am using the one included in this reddit post

Vanilla for vanilla bodies. Install CBBE version if you use CBBE.

Hey folks,

Another necro for this thread from me.

I recommend using completely new mod which has ongoing support from its creator:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43494?tab=description

It has pretty much everything that DM used to have, and much more. I used it during my last playthrough as a necromancer and had a lot of fun raising zombies with their gory parts still up. There are some glitches here and there, especially when raising shattered corpses, but nothing that would break the immersion completely.

Good job porting Deadly Mutilation and i have to say as much as i want to like Maximum Carnage, the truth is i lost faith or trust from the mod author after finding out about the stunt he pulled with his mod. not only that it seem's the current version on nexus is quite buggy with how some of the features like gore piles are still active even though they had been disabled on it's mcm menu. not to mention current version is a heavily neutered version of the mod.
